^ That's a beautiful sig, Lola! Mohit and Sonarika make a very beautiful Ardhanarishwar. I have yet to watch that episode but I'm looking forward to it.Has Kartikeya or Ganesha been born yet?

^^ Thanks Janu, glad you liked it <3 I haven't had time to watch in the past 2 weeks, but I do know that Kartikeya was born. Since they've scored someone as good as Rushiraj to play him, I don't think they'll drag out his infancy for too long, so looking forward to seeing him in action hopefully by next week.

So they are showing that Kartikeya is the elder one? I wasn't sure which version they'd use because some sources say Ganesha was elder. It would have been cute if they'd been able to film the Ganesha birth episodes on Ganesh chaturthi.

But I'm eager to see Kartikeya kill Tarakasur, though Lord knows when I'll be able to catch up with the show. :P

Janaki Takki will be killed on 7th Mahaepisode

and the Skandha puran sites Kumar Kartikeya as the elder and unmarried where as Kanda Puran says the opposite. It says bappa is elder😊

Sorry I have not seen the show, yet telling you what I know with respect to this question...Kartikeya being the 'kul-devta' of my family...(which my grand mother told me long ago) My grandmother had explained it as a time line.

Sati had sacrificed herself and Shiva went to penance. That's when Tarakasur had created havoc and they needed Shiva's help to destroy him. But Shiva was not married and Kamdev had to shoot an arrow at Shiva to make him fall in love with Parvati. Kamdev was burnt in the process...Rati was upset and she prayed to Vishnu...telling him that Kamdev had only done this on his orders, so why should he be punished. Vishnu promised him that once Shiva and Parvati get married, Kamdev will be restored.

Then Shiva and Parvati got married, Kamdev was restored. Then the Devas prayed to Shiva to help them kill Tarakasur and hence Kartikeya was born as soon as Shiva and Parvati were married and hence he is their first son.

But Ganesh turned out to be more intelligent and has the boon of being worshipped first among all Gods, hence some versions make Kartikeya the younger brother...but it is not so.

This is what my grandmother told me. I don't know whether any of this is conflicting with the version shown on TV. Sorry for that.

And yeah...Kartikeya is married...his wives are Valli and Devyani. (as per my grandmother) and she has shown me pics of Kartikeya with his wives.

There are conflicting version on who was elder and who was married. The skandha and shiv puran say kartikeya was elder and unmarried. And kanda puran says ganesha was elder and unmarried. I think the show is going by skanda puran.
