Hey Guys,
Here are more lyrics....this time, they are from BRC's Mahabharat, after the scene in which Draupadi tears a piece of her sari to bandage Krishna's finger and Krishna promises to repay her when she most needs his help.
Lola corrected a lot of mistakes I made while noting down the words, so major credit (also for the translations) goes to her.😃
Diya Dand Shri Krishna Ne - Krishna dealt punishment
Kiya Khand Abhimaan - and destroyed sinful pride.
Aanchal Cheere Draupadi - By ripping a piece of her veil, Draupadi
Baandh Rahi Bhagwaan - binds the lord himself.
Premaanchal Mein Bandh Gaye - Having been bound by her love
Diya Vachan Phir Aap - he himself made a promise.
Is Rinn Ke Bhugtaan Ko - The value of this debt's repayment
Jag Na Sakega Maap - is one the whole world won't be able to measure.
I just LOVE the tune that BRC uses for these dohas, soooo divine!😍
Jai Shri Krishna!

The bestower of virtue begets virtue himself.

Thank you so much for posting the lyrics Janu...I will try to do so whenever possible too so we can have a full lyrics archive! Btw, I just wanted to point out a small mistake in the last line of ^^ ...you left out "punya" so it should read: "Punya Ke Daata, Punya Kamaaye" 😳

Thanks a lot for the Ramayan title song lyrics, Vedo, really appreciate it!🤗 Lola, Shivang, and Debi posted a lot of RS Ramayan and RS Shri Krishna songs in the CCs....I re-posted a few so far in the previous pages, but I will post more whenever I find the time.
And thanks for pointing out the mistake, in my hurry I forgot to type the second Punya.😆

Hey guys, I finally got time today...so I decided to start working on keeping my promise of posting the lyrics of AS Ramayan in order and with translations so we can have an accurate songs archive.

These are the lyrics to all songs in episode#1. I will continue numbering the others just like this...and I also posted the title track in a previous post, so not posting it again. The translations are taken right off the subtitles (with little alterations from me where necessary). 😳

Enjoy and do tell me if there are any mistakes so I can correct 'em! 😃

1.

Sampati Sarv Ayodhya Mahi
Kewal Putra Ratan Ghar Nahi

He has wealth, gems and money
Yet he does not have the privilege of having a child in his house.

2.
Chakravarti Dasharath Nahin Nahin Avadh Samraat
Jogi Se Milne Chala Tyaag Rajasi Thaat

Dasharath is no a king, nor is he the conqueror of the world.
He goes to meet the sage without the pomp and splendor of a king.

Mann Mein Peer Nayan Mein Paani
Dasharath Ki Yahi Karun Kahaani
Putra Praapti Ki Lekar Aas
Raja Chala Jogi Ke Paas

His mind is tortured, his eyes are full of tears
This is Dasharath's poignant tale.
He longs for a child,
Thus a king goes to a sage.

Raja Rank Mein Bhed Na Koi
Yaachak Kewal Yaachak Hoi
Putra Praapti Ki Lekar Aas
Raja Chala Jogi Ke Paas

There's no difference between a king and a pauper.
Anyone who makes a plea is an equal.
He longs for a child,
Thus a king goes to a sage.

3.
Paar Nadi Ke Rishi Ka Aashram Dekha To Dasharath Harshaaya
Durgam Path Par Dugne Veg Se Raja Ne Phir Paao Badhaya
Kaanton Ne Paao Ko Ghaav Diye Aur Sheesh Mukut Aandhi Ne Uddaya (x2)
Maan Apmaan Ki Chinta Na Karke Raja Jogi Ke Dwaare Aaya (x2)

When he saw the sage's ashram (dwelling place) across the river, Dasharath was happy.
He walked quickly over a seldom used path.
The thorns wounded his feet and the winds blew away his crown.
Without a care for his respect or honor, the king comes to the sage.

4.
Jogi Ne Jaana Nahin
Dwaare Aaya Kaun
Tap Mein Vighn Na Daal Kar
Dasharath Baith Maun
Raja Baitha Maun

The sage did not know
That someone had come to his door.
Without interrupting his meditation,
Dasharath sat silently.
The king sat silently.

5.
Singhaasan Par Baithne Wala Bhoomi Pe Aasan Baitha Lagaaye
Dheer Na Chode Aas Na Chode Maun Pratiksha Mein Har Pal Bithaaye
Swami Saphal Manorath Laute Har Rani Prabhu Se Yeh Manaaye (x2)
Tab Jogi Ki Dhyaan Samaadhi Mein Jyoti Ke Roop Mein Shri Hari Aaye

A king who sits on a throne, sits on the ground.
He doesn't give up hope or courage, He waits in silence.
Their husband should succeed and come back, every queen prays to God for it.
That's when Lord Vishnu appeared to the sage in a flash of light.
