Hey Guys,

Here are two short songs from AS Ramayan for which I noted down the lyrics and got them double-checked by Lola. I liked the text as it's very siggyable.😉

This one comes after Ram and his bros return to Ayodhya after Bharat recovers from his injury at Mithila:

Mrityu Usse Kya Maare Ke Jispar

Bankar Chhatra Ho Raghuvar Chhaaye!

Translation:

Death cannot get him,

whom Lord Ram protects like a roof!

This one comes when Ram presses his father's feet after Dashrath retires for the night:

Ram Pita Ke Charan Dabaaye

Punya Ke Daata, Punya Kamaaye

Translation:

Ram presses his father's feet.

The bestower of virtue begets virtue himself.

I really love these lines, the meaning is sooo divine.😍

Am working on noting down the lyrics to more songs...will post those soon too.😃 They will be short ones since Hindi is not my mother tongue and I am trying to learn it by listening to these songs, but I will try my best.😉

My mother tongue is Bengali, I live in West Bengal. You know, this Bengali is the mother language of Mahakavi Krittivaas, whose Bengali Ramayan was one of the main sources of RSji's Ramayan, & he used many places from that Bengali Ramayan in the serial, I noticed it & I can mention it if you want to know.
Btw-your mother tongue is Telugu, right? is there any version of Ramayan in your language? If so, is its translation available? Actually, I'm a great fan of Ramayan (both of the serial & the epic), so I love to search any new version of Ramayan in any language😃

Oh wow, that's great to know.😃 Yeah, RSji used a lot of sources in his serial, and he synchronized all the different stories all so well so they seemed like ony story only.

In telugu, there is Ranganath Ramayan, and I'm not sure if there's a translation but I'll look.😊
