In the Satya yuga, I took a form that Lord Shiva got enamored w/. In that form, I managed to trick the asuras and help the devas. In that form, I also mothered a son of Lord Shiva's in order to get rid of a demoness.

However, under normal circumstances, I'm not a consort of Shiva, and indeed live elsewhere w/ my own consort.

I used to think that Durga & Mahakali were aspects of Parvati. Anyway...

I am the son of one of Krishna's enemies. After my father was killed, my grandmother took me to Krishna to seek refuge w/ him, and I inherited my father's kingdom. In the Kurukshetra war, however, I fought on the Kaurava side, and confronted Arjun & Krishna in battle, and fought a long & hard battle w/ them, during which I mainly had the upper hand, but was ultimately killed by Arjun.

Who am I?
