😃😃😃 Bhappi da special! That sounds either fun or torturous! But it could be fun hearing contestants perform out of their comfort genres, no one has sung a disco song yet!

Exactly... good idea... most contestants are still in their comfort zones.

Would love to see 50s and 60s melody round too.

I think Indian idol contestants should be judeged from their talent and not with sob stories. Every human has their own struggle. No one has a cake walk in life. Please stop these stories and give two songs per contestant. I just change the channel when this sob stories come. We want to see their singing and nothing more. Inspire other children by telling how these children managed studies and singing. How they planned their carreeer etc., which will be inspiring to them .. show the children ways to achieve the path and goal.

Yesterday Shravan and Malvika were best. My personal favourite Revanth. After sriram of Indian idol revanth Shravan Malvika is superb.

Revanth, Shravan,Malvika,Tajinder, Mohit, Rohit my preference.

I think Khudabaksh will sing "Baawre Baawre" from movie "Luck By Chance" which is may be based on Gujarati folk. It's a very nice song.

Ever since the first audition, Kudha Baksh sings folk flavor. I am now getting bored of Mohit's high pitch and Kudha Baksh's folk. Looking forward to see how Tajinder is going to sing in South Indian style.

I'm okay with family coming to the show. I don't even mind them speaking a couple of minutes, but no sympathy gaining stories.
Shravans dadi wasn't ideal. No rona dhona, just enjoy and encourage your family.
Revanths mum was fine too. No sympathy gaining act.

But khudabakshs mum took the cake. Both mother and son have memorised what to say and shed tears. Mohit's mum was also melodramatic.

I don't deny they've gone through hell. But everyone goes through hell. Everyone's hell is different. For them it was financial, for some emotional. There really isn't the need to ask for sympathy. Rise above it and let your talent do the talking.

Initially I felt bad for Khudabaksh but now I feel nothing.

After having watched today's episode, I have to change my ranking of the contestants.

1. Rohit: He was outstanding, mind-blowingly confident and his act was superb too! Full marks on awaaz, andaaz and riyaaz! ⭐️. Rohit is my star of the week! 👏Sonu Nigam's tears said it all! 👍🏼

2. Malavika: Still number 2 for me, none of the other performances today bettered hers except Rohit's.

3. Shravan: He is just too good... like someone mentioned, quiet, unassuming, no great sob story to tell, just normal, chilled out and focused on his craft, which is just sooo refreshing! And he's flawless most of the time.

4. Revant: He was good, but not fantastic. Maybe I'm giving him 4th spot because I love the song so much, but he could've done better. He sounded off a couple of times and his pronunciations were atrocious. Its good to see he has a large female fan following, but he needs to work harder if he wants to make it on merit.

5. Mohit: I've said before I'm not a fan. his voice is of a type that I'm not too fond of, though he landed the right notes in his performance, which was adequate. So in all fairness I have to give him fifth spot.

6. Tajinder: I just couldn't connect to his song.😕 If he had to pick a Rahman song with a Tamilnadu folk flavour, there were so many others he could've chosen! 😕. Like someone said before, some of the song choices this week were just so mystifying. He was still competent though and he's a strong contender as he has proved in the earlier rounds, hence giving him the benefit of doubt this time around.

7. Not sure whether to pick Hardeep or Khudabaksh for 7th spot. I guess its a tie. Hardeep was technically better, he didn't lose his "sur", while KB went off-key more than once, however, KB's song was a more complicated one, so ..🤔😕

8. Manya: I am definitely not in favor of bringing her back. She may have a good voice, but that's it. Her lack of formal training shows up painfully in comparison to the others. Her performance was good, but singing correctly and in "sur" is what counts for me, and there she failed big time.

It's definitely a come back performance for Rohit. He was, without doubt outstanding today. In fact, Shravan and Rohit are challenging those who questioned their versality in the beginning of this season.

Revanth's performance in my opinion was not impressive. The vibrance and the power that the song has were missing in his rendion.

Not a good day for Tajinder. He couldn't properly deliver the small small nuances and variations that song has. In some places he sounded just plain.

Manya, I was shocked when judges chose her for top 14, dimmisng those guys Santhosh Hariharan from Chennai and Karthik Ramanan from Bengaluru. Looks like it was pre-planned to bring her back in top 8, but clearly an injustice to other eliminated contestants.

In my observation, Shravan, Tajinder and Hardeep lack public support while Revanth enjoys the maximum followed by Kudha Baksh. Rohit, Malavika and Mohit have reasonable number of fan following.
