Hi Folks,
I have been reading the various comments in this forum of Indian Idol 3. Many of the Indian Idol fans have taken it personally and are seriously arguing about each others comments. No point in doing so. See what the final outcome is.
1.0) The verdict was so gracefully accepted by Amit. Prashanth for that matter volunteered and called Amit and they both jointly held the trophy.
2.0) Probably only thing that Amit did not get is the 1 Crore contract with Sony. Otherwise his popularity has not been affected. I feel it has increased.
3.0) Mini and Hussein have done their best and showed their individual talents as hosts.
4.0) It is now the beginning for Prashanth to maintain his title. Infact the challenge has just begun for him. He cannot now be casual. He will be closely watched and will have to live up to expectations. This is not an easy job.
5.0) The other contestants also have got opportunities from the music industry of films. It is known that Anu Mullick is looking forward to take Amit for an album. Alisha probably is looking forward to promote Chang.
6.0) Every contestant in the last 13s will get an opportunity, and then it's up to them to prove themselves. No voting business etc.
7.0) We have now a new boy's band, with Abhishek, Parleen etc. needs to be seen as to how they perform in future.
8.0) Finally, the sponsors have made their impact too.
Career in music has not stopped for the rest who failed to be II3. One cannot just decide by voting that some guy is the best. If a voting takes place to tell who is the best between Kishore Kumar, Bhimsen Joshi, and Udit Narayan. Probably Udit or Kishore Kumar may win the votes. But ask them who is the best, they would say it is Bhimsen Joshi.
Though Amit and others didnot become II3, they might have just lost a battle, but the war is yet to be decided. War means their perseverance and career in Music. Most of them are yet to finish their studies. Its quite possible that they may take up something else and excel in their career like Mini, who did her MBA and now is a TV anchor, or SPB, who is an engineer but an excellent singer now, Rajnikanth a bus conductor to a super hero or a failed All India Radio applicant who is India's Big B ( Amitabh B, ironically AIR felt his voice is quite harsh).
So folks donot make these as personal loss. When the contestants have reconciled and are seeing friends within themselves, why do the fans keep criticizing each other.
Please donot indulge in petty politics and bring shame to the wonderful sportsmanship shown by the contestants.
