Prashant is no walkover

In the last gala, Prashant sang very well. I was awed by his rendition of 'bheege hote tere'

The final battle this year is not going to an unbalanced fight like last year. I was afraid of that before but after last Friday, Prashant has proved that he is not a walkover and his talent cannot be ignored.

IMO the best voice quality this year was Amit, Prashant, Chang and Jolly and best singers were Amit, Emon, Puja and Deepali. If not best singers, we still can look forward to a great finale between 2 of the most soothing voices.

If Prashant wins, I think it would be unfair to call him Darjeeling idol and not accept that he is the Indian idol. It's not like the rules were different for voters from the Northeast and they had the ability to vote more than others. Anyone from anywhere in India can call and vote if they want to. The entire country is voting for the next Indian Idol, so if Prashant gets more votes, he IS India's choice and our next Indian Idol...That's just the way the voting system works.

If you want to call it that you are free to do whatever you wish, just don't try to push your views down others throat, that's what you have been doing, on every thread on every post! It's still called Indian Idol, and it will still be called that, whether you like it or not is of no consequence! You are simply 1 person, not even living in India, who has no say whatsoever.

This only shows how low you can go to ensure that somebody you don't like doesn't win. Serioulsy mate, this is only a game!! Anybody can win, it shouldn't be taken that seriously.

Again, it's only a game. Sandeep won within the format of the show. Doesn't matter what you or his detractors think. What happens to him or other contestants/winners is upto a lot of other factors than just winning/loosing the title. Sandeep still has a lot of years life left, who knows he will make a name for himself in the next few years. If hyping and hollering counted to much, Amey Date didn't miss out on any of that but still he is right there where he started many years ago, strugelling to make a place. It's a fierce and ugly world out there, the so called talent or lack of it counts to little, a lot of things have to fall in place for these guys.

Thats not true anymore. Maybe the bulk of his votes are from that region, but its the same for Amit and we are not calling him Shillong idol. My fav Emon is gone, and for reason I am leaning towards Prashant now. I am a bengali and I shud support Amit now, as per regional bias and all but I am not crazy about him :)

Between Sandeep and Prashant, Prashant is way better...again IMO. Also, if Sony just needs to make money, then going by your premise, they can organize concerts in Darjeeling every month and get houseful shows :D
