his stage presence wouldn't matter much once he goes into playback singing. but that's not to say he's not appealing on stage because i think he manages to captivate the audience with his melodious voice, and i'd take that over random prancing around any day.

Pseudonym, Indian Idol is not about playback singing. Well I do agree Amit does have a good body language, but it fails to mesmerize and leave a mark of his image in mind. People at least expect that from a potential Indian Idol finalist.

dont confuse perf with stage presence....wot wud u def as stage presence... agreed he does not dance around on stage but he still manages to hold ur attn ... best eg i can give is "nasha" ... frankly this acc to me is one of the best perf on II till now (n that too without really dancin ard).. so much confidence, such ease, so relaxed... n hes dun it tym n again.. b it pehla nasha", "maaeri", "why do u brk my hrt", "in dino".... he commands the stage n holds ur attn.. infact of the 3 left hes probably the one who has max stage presence...
i beg to differ...he does not "fail to mesmerize and leave a mark of his image in mind".... n believe me i have spoken to many ppl n everyone notices his confidence n stage presence (apart frm his singin... esp the oldr gen)...

i saw Amit for the first time when he forgot his lyrics after his friend Bhavin had gone out during the Wild Card entry. Oh hated JAved akhtar when he said the judges cannot save you so pray that the junta saves you.(Guess he got a lot of sympathy votes because of Javed Akhtar) And loved anu malick for saying he is a good singer he wil be saved. Of course JAved Akhtar has praised Amit a lot after that...the best praise being that he is a find of the Hindi Music Industry. And loved Anu Malick everytime he said you are my Indian Idol.

His best performance was no doubt Nasha.....there was nasha in his voice and i listen to this song everytime from the indian idol videos. His voice was like paradise. Well even if he does not win the title i am very very sure he will be singing a lot of HIndi film songs within a year.

Yes and i love the way he performs.....i just look at him...he conveys the song with all the body language that he exhibits. I am of the opiniion that Ankita is a little better dancer than Amit thats all.....the ultimate performer is AMIT AMIT N AMIT

Though he is known by his Nasha songs.... but his other performances has been good too.. I saw the clip on him performing on Gustakh Dil..., he seems to have done well in the next gala. Cant wait to see it..Red jacket suits him soooo much.. I am Soooooooooooooooooooooo Happy!

Cant imagine him not in Indian Idol gala. Had he not got the WildCard entry....it sends shivers down my back...

Lets not do the mistake that he gets voted out. We did that mistake once. Lets not lose a good singer...Lets all unite and Vote for him!

i always thought Amit was the least promoted candidate without any gimmicks..His promotions were just the bare neccesary ones.. He reached this stage by his sheer talent and superlative singing performance.. He did not bring a Cage on stage to camouflage his singing, he did not manufacture a love story for publicity, nor did he have to do mimicry, or use his personal background..or get regional votes, he was even voted out once.... He did not even do one jhatka in the performance..

He always let his music to do the talking. He created magic in some..in some he was very good..and in some he was not as good as his previous performances. But he always put a stamp on each of the song. His individual stamp. The AMIT PAUL stamp.

It is only now at the final stages that his home state has awaken from their slumber.... after perhaps when they saw him in bottom 2. Hope the nation awakens too!

It was the power of his voice which attracted viewers. And thats how a singer should be..

i started likin him wen he sang bheegi bheegi.... omg hiz voice wuz sooo deep & sexyy & soulful...fell in luv with it!
then i started loovin him more wen he got thru in the wildcarrd!
& in da galas...he impressed me every week :]
& now.. i'm liike his biggest fan!!

I'm not a regular viewer of the show, so I was clueless he got voted out, until now (after reading your msgs).

I think when my friend recommended me to listen to Nasha hi nasha that's when I became his huge fan 😳 prior to that I'd never ever even seen him

I just hope he wins the show now! 😃
