MY HOPES REST ON AMIT NOW!

Amit is now the only person who I have hopes for, now that my lil sis Ankita is gone. Here is why I think Amit CLEARLY deserves to win:

1. Originality. Amit Paul has his own identity and there can be no other like him.

2. Innate Talent. God gifted voice and ability to sing WELL in so many different languages. It turns out his mother tongue is Bengali which makes me like him a little more and also admire him because Bengalis usually have an accent problem, but Amit has none!

3. Extremely Hardworking. It shows in his attitude and everything we know of him so far.

4. Consistency. Amit has been the only contestant who has never received any criticism in all the GALA round. Not once! He has been consistenly fabulous.

5. Maturity. His voice maturity and his overall mature attitude reflects in his songs, and he is all ready to sing for all the heroes in our Bollywood industry.

6. Perfectionist. I like that he makes sure every performance is flawless. Even when he sings impromptu on Roobaroo he hits every note perfectly.

I just pray he can beat Prashant. Please hope he wins.

Is he a bengali? He is from Shillong na? He speaks Khasi also too..it seems.. His hindi is good too when he sings..as u say..no accent whatsoever.. His Urdu also seems good..

His biggest asset is his voice will suit any actor, if he modulates them.

Agreed.😛 Actually, I was also suprised to learn he was Bengali, but he said that in his chat trancript so I guess he must be.😊

Man, if there was one guy I would love to marry and take home to mom, it would be him. Just that Amit would make everything so romantic with his melodious voice. I could listen to him all day--Dil kya kare jab kisi se kisi ko pyar ho jaaye~😳

Yup..he does look chivalrous and romantic enough to melt any girls heart.. 😆

hehehe..that makes three of us, I am also a bengali. I am so happy we have three Bengalis (Prashant is from Darjeeling so I am counting him also), in the competition. Just shows how good Bengalis are in music.

Also, I am happy that Amit is Bengali, because I would love for him to serenade me with a Bengali song..hahahahhah

Yes, that is fantastic. I wonder if even the judges know. They have never raised the question of pronunciation with him, and he sings so perfectly well in all languages! Usually when they know you are Bengali, then judges always mention pronunciation, but never for Amit and I am really happy about that. EXTEMELY TALENTED GUY and a CUTIE too!!!😳

I hear Chang also speaks Bengali. There is a huge population of Bengalis in Calcutta and Dhanbad area.

So, that makes 7 Bengalis in Indian Idol this season!!!
