What gives you the right to second guess somebody else's choice? Just because they like something that is different that what you like, they become regionally biased? What utter nonsense!!! The mere fact that those judges selected him over how many aspirants is proof enough that he has something which is the same case for all the other guys/gals who got selected.

Since when did a forum represent the world at large? Guess you didn't know the Government of Meghalaya has gone on overdrive to protect Amit then hey? Other than that there is the whole judge panel that go ga-ga over Amit's every performance, some christining him the Idol already, some pretending to faint, some dancing on the stage with him, forgetting fully that as judges they are supposed to be impartial and keep their personal likes and dislikes to themselves. Imagine if a judge of the Supreme Court stands up and claps the government lawyer for his excellent case against a murder suspect, while the case is still on the floor, would you accept that? Even though the judge fully knows the accused must have killed, he/she cannot openly declare that when the case is going on!!

the question was not directed to you so why butt in? the judges chose more than a 100 aspiring singers during the auditions, but those who are here today are because of PUBLIC voting, which is very biased.

lol, the same judges who saw 'something' in prashant going ga-ga over amit says something about how much amit deserves to win, doesn't it? yes, i am aware of the govt. of meghalaya campaigning for amit, but i didn't say it was right. however, just by looking at the composition of his fanbase it's evident that he receives votes from a lot of different places too...in UAE, he's among the most popular contestants and some non-indians vote for him too. why? because he sings good.

i find it quite comical and sad how people are actually arguing that prashant is a good singer. go ahead, win this SMS war for him and enquire about where he is a year from now only to receive 'don't know, don't care' responses because he is on his way to become Sandeep v.2.0.

...and i thought people would learn from last season's mistake!

Friends, please as I said before do not attack each other... This won't help your favorite contestants... If someone is stating their opinion on some contestant, then let them say what they want, instead of coming right in and bashing the members who like contestants you don't like... They are very much entitled to their opinions just as you are... Arguing like this won't help your favorite singer in any way... If someone likes Prashant, then good for them... why do members who don't like him have to come in and spoil it for them? Same goes for every other contestant fans!!! Discuss about your favorites but do not make personal attacks on others just because they don't like the contestant you like... If everyone started liking the same contestant, then there would be no fun and the competition would become dull and useless...

Why do you think Sandeep was a bad choice? Does he need to go in neck to nect tie with Abhijeet? Or is he supposed to follow footstep of Abhijeet? No. You can't judge somebody within a year. Sandeep has his own way, own style and own plan to come with his albums. Just wait and see rather than venting your jeal and frustration. May be within next couple of years, Sandeep will leave Abhijit far behind. Who knows?

For me, Sandeep was a perfect choice of Janatha, he is preparing for a grand success and now taking time for his classical training stuffs, just nothing more than that.

Exactly. My dissent is only on 'I am a Tom Cruise fan so you stop watching Russel Crowe movie' or 'Tom Cruise is the best actor but Russel Crowe's Gladiator got hit because the Kiwis and the Aussies watched it' kind of mentality. I have got my message across so this will be my last post in this thread.

Are we forgetting our Unity in Diversity?Anyone wins..he is Indian . If you dont like him..it is your personal choice. No need to bash somebody uselessly..because your bashing hurt somebody else. If you ever care for your favorite..it is better not to bash others favorites.
If out of these 5, anybody becomes Indian Idol. I dont mind. They are all at least better person not like Sandeep Acharcya..who was rich from home and was more showy type person.
So I support all 5 to win this contest. In fact I support all 12 except Richa..who was really child to win this competition. This is a game people. Koi bhi jeeta to apna ghar chalne wala to hain nahi..apna kaam to humen hi karna padega.
