Deepali’s singing lacks spirit - Page 2

The judges saw this only a couple of times with luka chupi and tere bina jeeya jaayena but i have felt this with some of the very peppy songs she sang as well paritcularly 'jab chaye mera jadoo' and 'mera piya ghar aaya' And it was the same with 'nimbuda' today.

Nope, we're not biased fans who will deny everything and treat out favorites as some legendary singers who cannot have a single thing said against them.
I won't accuse you of bashing cos last time I checked, people had right to post whatever they wanted within forum limits and you're not personally attacking her, family, relatives, personality etc. Simply discussing her singing, no problem.
I agree somewhat- she lacks it at times ("throw" in the voice and the spunk at times) and that could explain why she's in the bottom three. Last week, in the romantic special many singers lacked emotion. It was really sad.

I fully agree with obelix on this one. I thought she was fabulous during the earlier rounds but in the galas its been lacklustre for me. She has a bad posture- she slouches forward when she tries to perform, has very little grace while performing and her singing has also been not up to the mark like Antara, or Meenal or the bindaas n beautiful singing of Monali from last year. She just seems awkward somehow- uncomfortable. She is perhaps playback material not an on camera performing material at all. She is a sureeli singer but not mindblowing for me.I also can't see what the hoopla is all about- don't find her beautiful at all- she is quite average looking with a very average figure as well. Deepali's beauty is her voice I guess. Charu was the looker in this group and quite pretty. No offense to Deepali fans, just my opinion.

hmm but judges praised her so i agree wit judges rather calling they r baised her..i always feel judges r right 😳 but honestly i felt she was singing frm not dilse 😕it didnt touch my heart

i agree with u, i mean her sur was really good, but for some reason i didnt think it was outstanding😕. i know everyone has their own style of singing but when u listen to the original nimbooda song, it's amazing, i mean u keep wanting to hear it again. it was a very difficult song to sing and she did a pretty good job, but if deepali had used some more energy, it would have been gr8.

I agree.She sang well but feeling was missing in her singing even I felt the same in emon singing too..

Actually, Deepali reminds me of Meenal.
Meenal had the same problem of "not connecting with the audience" which is why she was in the bottom three every week despite being one of the better singers in the show. There were factors in the other singers which were more appealing to the voters. Could also be due to a lack of impact in the performances or voice that led to less votes. She has yet to give that one performance that just stands out from the crowd, separates you from the rest of the competition (if for just one episode, that is enough) and makes you go wow. Really, I feel most contestants have yet to give that one performance that put us in awe...

i have interest in deepali. also her song was not as influential as the judges made it out. i am not sure what is it. may be i am not connecting with her singing or may her "singing lacks soul" 😕
