smitas makeover is a spoof

i dont know what indian idol is trying to prove but i personally didnt adore the makeover opted for smita. it gives everyone including smita a wrong image about herself that makeover outer appearance dominates any talent. smita gave such a wonderful performance last time yet she is out. it only shows how biased can people be over their favourites. thats all. this has nothing to do with the looks. so smita should go back home leaving all those perceptions behind that people started liking or not liking her for looks. i am very disappointed at the way they showed her getting all the make over done, it was only her who got the makeover. people need to concentrate on her singing rather than makeovers. i cannot swallow this very easily. i am confused about audience. i dont know what they want! parleen was very flat on the other hand!

I was glad that the makeover was done, now she wasn't any different than the other contestants and didn't get sympathy votes over looks. She did give a wonderful performance in 3rd gala but she was not consistent in the 1st and 2nd gala therefore she deserved to be eliminated. I next think Parleen or Prashant should go.

Your performances have to be consistent with a ranking of good.
If a person does two weak performances and one outstanding the janta still looks at previous performance.
Therefroe Smita should've been OUT!

I didn't like the whole makeover thing at all. Its not like she is extremely ugly and all the others are beauty contest winners! She's an average looking girl, that's all. If she had stuck to being an average looking good singer, it might have worked. Instead, all we discussed was the stupid makeover, her clothes, whether she looks better or worse, whether makeover has taken her concentration away from singing, whether it has given more confidence. End result--even after a good performance she had to leave.

By that definition Parleen also had one good and two weak performances. And his weak performances were considerably weaker than Smitas. So he should have been out before her! Charu had one reasonable and two weak performances. She should have been out before either. And Jolly had one moderately weak and one outstanding performance. Shouldn't she have got one more chance?

exactly, thats what i was thinking, for once i thought i am watching a model contest. charu gave such a weak performance too, in the middle somewhere her energy was lost but she picked it up, but comparatively even charu has been concentrating more on looks. smita getting a makeover and then broadcasting her looks all around seemed as a joke. parleen was so flat all those times, he is not upto mark but still he is in.

you are sooo right..i was just about to post this topic....like in today's episode when alisha said that in yesterdays singing makeover has a big part for smita...i personally dont believe that. she wasn't giving credit to her practice but to the makeover.i thought that it was wrong
