Much controversy about the music of 'Jaan-E-Mann' has left all confused whom to trust and whom to mistrust. Anu Malik, the composer of the album has been swearing that the album is composed by him and the songs are originally his. But there was news that nephew of A R Rehman Chennai-based 19-year old composer and arranger, G V Prakash has been the composer of the songs. Sometimes back G V Prakash has also admitted that the song 'Humko maloom hai' in Jaan-E-Mann was his own composition. But now he has some different story to tell. Says Prakash, "It is true that a leading refrain in Humko Maloom Hai comes from Anu's tune Sau dard hai in Jaan-E-Mann. I took that refrain and built my composition around it. I wouldn't like to take credit away from someone as senior as Anu Malik. I'm just 19. I'll have many more opportunities to compose dozens of tunes." Thankfully Anu won't have to scream on the top of his voice that the songs are his!
