At the ongoing Mobile Asia 2006 exhibition at Pragati Maidan, Hall No. 10 and 11, Nokia launched many new handsets and to make the exhibition a memorable event they presented a musical evening on Friday with Sandeep Acharya, winner of Indian Idol 2, singing new as well as yesteryear hits. The crowd was seen enjoying the music and dancing to the tunes of Sandeep. Sanjiv Dhiman, spokesperson, Nokia said that with NSeries one can carry a whole new world of music along with the latest technology. "Nokia NSeries has revolutionised the way people listen to music. As music is the strength of NSeries, we wanted to present it in a special way by roping in Sandeep who is a hit with young people," said Dhiman. Sandeep enlivened the evening with popular numbers like Jaana hai mujhe aasmano se aage from his debut album, Tumse milke dil ka hai jo haal kya kare, Neele neele ambar par, Bheege hoth tere, Dus bahane karke le gaye dil, Subhanalla, Bijuria bijuria and many more. "These kind of events are great for both the manufacturer as well the performer because both get the desired recognition in their respective markets. Plus, I really like performing before the capital's music lovers and I am thankful to Nokia for providing me this opportunity to showcase my talent," said Sandeep. Sandeep, who belongs to Bikaner, loves the city and finds it not just vibrant, but also a foodie's paradise. "I love the chaat here and like to have my fill every time I come," he said. |
