Lata croons 3 devotional songs for Anu Malik

Lata Mangeshkar hardly sings these days and she is very selective about picking up singing assignments. But for a change she has rendered 3 songs for Anu Malik for the devotional film 'Jai Santoshi Maa'. The album of the film, which is a remake of the 1970's super hit, was recently released. In the original film it was sister Usha Mangeshkar's 'Main To Aarti Utaaroon Re' which is a very popular song even today. Lata Mangeshkar also sings the songs 'Aisa Vardan', 'Lal Chudiyan' and 'Na Chitthi Aayi' in the same line. Her soothing voice is what makes this album more special.

Are Sonu & Himesh at war?

Its been heard that there is a catfight going between Sonu Nigam and Himesh Reshammiya for sometime now. And as they are both touring the US currently, things got more obvious there. Himesh who drools himself into controversies for the wrong reasons apparently is to be blamed this time too. Rumours are that he said that he's the better singer among the two and that Sonu's time as a singer has passed. It is believed that Himesh even accused Sonu of copying his look, now that Sonu has grown a beard. Also there are competitions going on between the two in the concerts. Each singer's camp is asserting to be doing better than the other.

When asked this is what Sonu says, "I don't want to comment on the issue. I never said anything against Himesh in the first place, so why should I indulge in this controversy? That will be cheap. I'm not one to talk about my own concerts. People can check the Internet to see the response for themselves. Himesh is a colleague and I respect all my colleagues. I never take my work or work-related issues home, so I don't want to talk about this."

But Himesh denies saying anything against Sonu. "There is absolutely nothing wrong between us. I respect him too much to say such unpleasant things about him. Besides, it's not in my character to do these sorts of things. We have had no fight whatsoever, this is just some rumour that someone has started."
