Did devendra deserve the singer of the day award?

I personally felt it should have gone to vipul or ritika.

what do you think?

I am his fan but not a huge fan of anyone this season. Will watch and let you know...

completely agree with you but if I had to pick someone to be a fan of it would be between ritika and vipul. And their singing is also good so it should have gone to either one of them.

I guess its based on confidence, like Kaushik was placed second but won the confident singer of the day. I like Vipul but sometimes he lacks feeling for me, as do all of these contestants at times. Vipul's tujhe dekha was bad to say the least...I won't say more and I found his nadaan parinde to be dull compared to other renditions I have heard (yes, Sreerams.)

I totally agree. Devendar was so dull, unlike what Ashaji said he was devoid of any romance in his voice. I couldnot believe that SC said he was good. Ashaji is totally baised but really was disappointed with Sundhi chavan and SM.

I am telling if the judges keep this up this show will lose it's popularity.

I had not listened him much, but I wonder who has suggested him to become a singer? In this particular episode it seems like Tushar kapoor was singing. I dont know how comes these judges were praising him so much. Was he in bottom last week?

Devender sounded like a 12 year old singing a mature love song. The guy should really be singing Baa Baa Black Sheep, sorry Devender fans, I have just had it with judges going ga ga over him and his drama king nautanki about the love affair with Sooor and sangeeet. He was the 2nd from bottom for me today (Poor vi aah ooh bebe being the lowest)

Amit & Kaushik who the judges criticized toady were way better than the Mr doo and Miss poo

Even Sohini was better

Hey MM ji good day!I agree that Vipul sang better than Davinder on Friday. But I can't say that Davinder's performance was dull or he was out of sur. He is still a kid. It is very difficult to sing Rafi shabs romantic numbers and this guy did justice to this song. I mean all the judges admired his singing. Salim said that his graph is improving with every performance. Ashaji and Sunidhi also prised him. Iss Bacche mai koyee to baat hai jo usee Lata di ka aasheewad prapt hai. This kid has a very bright future.

I guess they didn't want to give Vipul back to back performer of the day award. That way this program will become one sided affair. They just want to motivate Davinder and Amit as well.

At this point in time, it seems that Vipul will be next Indian Idol.

Sorry for Kaushik's early elimination. Hope he will be back through wildcard.
