Poorvi is a very talented and gifted singer. Her performance on last weekend has been excellent. She can hit high notes with perfection. All the judges are very impressed with her.
Number of bashing threads have been opened to bash her. 😳 Her bashers will not like it but she is going to be in top 3.

^Jas, I agree she sings well in certain genres but Saturday's elimination episode everyone sang poorly, and Poorvi had no grasp on any of the songs she sang (eg. Pyar tho Hona hi tha.) They were sang poorly but everyone was horrible. I just didn't like her comment that Amit was stuck in "punjabi mode." what exactly is punjabi mode??

Perhaps I have missed that comment. I watched this episode just last night. If she said that then its not nice at all. Hey you have to realize that its all editing work and we will never know what the actual comment was.😆 Poorvi is a decent girl and I like her.
I guess what she meant was that Amit sings songs with Punjabi lyrics, those high pitch numbers. I personally believe that Amit is better off in that jenre at this point in time. His Hindi is not great. I mean he is from Amritsar where everybody speaks only Punjabi and I think he has not learnt Hindi literature in college. But gradually he will be able to singh all type of songs. I hope its not too late, LOL.
Look at Rafi Sahab. He was born in a little village near Amritsar and started his career from punjabi songs and then nature put him on the top in later years.

Yea they ended up voting for each other as ones who should be eliminated and Amit said "Poorvi sings only one style, although she is very good at it" and she said "i didn't feel his (forgot song name) was up to par, isi liye..." then hussain or mini said something and she said "i think he is stuck in that punjabi mode" i think she could have used better choice of words

yes ... its one of those moments where u dont mean what you say ... as far as attitude goes ... people who are introvert or not very outspoken in public are often taken to have an attitude ... thats seems to be the case with her to me

i found her comment insulting, amit said it in better style, all other contestants gave reasons of their choice for elimination, hers came across rude..she is overconfident and she sings some songs very well,i want to see completely Indian song as well ...humbleness is must even great singers like lata noorjehan and mohd rafi r very humble

over-rated comments of judges hurt audience, specially salim whose joy knew no bounds when he does see her on stage without starting song. shouting is not song. yes we have this one rock style just to entertain public in marriage or some get-to-gather type programs. changing or making artificial voice without sweetness without soul without feel is unfair. Or they should arrange a program for rock stars specially for this girl. Whole world want to listen melodious voice in sweet surs. I can believe that some audience could like only shouting songs.

exactly ! Amit was absolutely right. He is the only one,who recognised that Purvi could sing just one genre of song.Well said Amit.I dunno why Salim and Ashaji get so excited to hear Purvi sing just one kind of song in every episode.
