Karunya Lost: Truth behind it

Karunya did lose, that is the bottom line! Sandeep fans voted for him day and night. If you guys wanted Karunya to win you should have too. There is no reason to cry over split milk!

I guess, people vote once or twice maybe 10 ( I am talking about average users) and expect their contestant to win. Example: 100 people voting once for Karunya and 10 people voting 100 times for Sandeep. You do the math!

Sandeep won because he has a rabid followers and Karunya did not have the same support. There is a difference of Mass vs Class too. Not all users are computer literates and would not lurk in this forum and they have voted for Sandeep. Probably I should not classify them as Mass (Lack of better word!) but I belive Sandeep has the mass support and Karunya has the literate support.

In a way ure right and wrong, I think plently of money comes from the UK and America, many other countires too. In fact Indians, in the Uk are the biggest donators to thier home land. It aint NRI's fault if the middle man eats the money when he should be doing as he is told to.

Show after ahow karunya kept singing in an outstanding way. Sandeep kept doing mistakes after mistakes in all almost every show. (The judges comments regarding Sandeep's perf in the final shows give rise to high suspicion... it is not possible for a person to do good singing with 10-15 days of riyaz... so whatever little good comments the judges gave in the finale could be due to Sony's business interests and just to save its face...) While Karunya has 1-2 above average numbers and the rest being really outstanding and marvelous ones... (outdoing the original singers in some of the songs) Sandeep too had 1-2 above average numbers while the rest being much below the average.... Its only a combination of factors that helped Sandeep to win...

Sony TV should be make the voting data available to public. After it doing such a stupid thing with its stupid format of voting where anyone with money, irrational regional support and with a minm. amount of singing can win,. the least it can do is to give out the voting details. If one only see from where the majority of votes came for each of the contestants one can understand to some extent why such an extremely unfair decisio has been made. Judges (except Farah Khan, I always felt Saroj Khan ji who has trained the likes of Rekha, Madhuri would have been a much better judge...) keep telling that janta should vote for their fav contestant, but how can normal rational janta vote so many times and do the rigging..... They just have to tell the no. of individual mobile phones from which the contestants got the votes. This will answer to a lot extent as to what went behind this most idiotic decision ever...... It is highly ridiculous to say this as the Indian janta's decision...

In fact people have showed great degree of impartiatlity and maturity in voting as it is because of this karunya came in top 2 inspite of being a South Indian... Only if Sony atleast shows atleast a speck little bit of honesty and makes the numbers in terms of state and in terms of individual mobile will some amount of truth come out as to why this stupid decision has been made... I think everone should demand this to know the truth...

also.. i want to say that it's not just public voting but!! sony's influence(u may call it mathlabi) will be there in choosing the winner.. and that is the truth!!!!

i kinda agree and disagree wid u hyd nri-- i dont think its fair to blame karu fans for his defeat- u cant expect people to vote for him day and night like sandeeep=i think the votin for sandeep was way too extreme-24 hr votin. its just not a fair competition at the end of the day. also people who did vote for karu in the south or frm whereeva- it is not rite to disrespect them.

as a nri too-i sent international votes-whetha they counted or not - i dont know. but all my relatives in india voted on our behalf- but that wud b just ridiculous to expect people to be on the fone 24/7. at the end of the day-karu will b suceessful-cos he truly was the 1 who deserved the idol title-
