Ruth aa gayi re is a raga based song (as was commented by Anu Malik I think in the gala). I think that was by far Sandeep's best song. It was said many a times that he is classically trained so please don't insult Sandeep's training this way. I don't think he's attempted a pure classical song though....maybe just never chose one coz Sandeep always seemed like he was into choosing famous songs and most of the recent songs are not classically inclined. At least that's what I think.

hey shawn apparently sandeep is trained, and they finally revealed that hez been learning for the past 10 years or so, read this in som article
