People learn a language if they need to communicate in that language and out of necessity. Not because it is a Rashtrabhasha. Language is just a medium to communicate. Who wants to make efforts to learn a language which becomes redundant in their day-to-day life? Please someone tell me why bollywood awards are being conducted in English, except for the fact that the broadcast has become international. Its basically communication, despite reasoning says that those who watch hindi movies and these awards, understand hindi.

If people make a statement that Karunya is not getting votes from home town, then its promotion? How? The hindi belt is going to vote for him thinking poor karu is not getting votes from home town? Oh common, give me a break.

I remember in one of the episodes, karu himself said he learned hindi after watching a soap (Swabhimaan??) and then its obvious....why this is incredible?? atleast I cant understand......sorry

but for sure, these things are pointless to discuss....when he's already a known figure in India.....come on guys...do think some creative, something that really give us some more info and help us understand some other aspects of candidtaes rather than pulling legs of either contestents or other members or saying those things which each n everyone knows abt these finalists....from past few days, its really a botheration but...who cares attitude is more robust in last four-five days..

My intention was by no means to create any regionalism----if you read my post clearly --i was only appreciating karunyas ease and control over the languages.Anyone can speak languages other than their mothertongue--broken and with a wrong accent to communicate and get by --but to speak error free -grammer and pronounciation is an achievement-i think

IF anyone is promoting regionalism it is you by postiong in bold --i thouht this is a discussion forum on topics pertaining to INDIA--languages is an integral part and parcel of our daily life

i have given the reason for karunya singing in flawless hindi. it is sad to see that there are many topics on the same. the this is a discussion forum but there are some rules to be followed.

Why is it people only read a fraction of any post and react?My post also went on to say to preserve the arts,music and encourage any fresh and promising talent.I did not suggest that people vote only because he knows languages well.My observation was that it was an asset in Karunyas case.May the most deserving contestant win.

what is wrong in saying he has a very good accent and ease in Hindi language ?

btw Anjaliji thanks for the info about Karunya .i did not know that.

i have seen on these kind of shows ppl always complain about diction prob and their accent .....i remember sonu also telling one of the contestents that they should improve their diction .....pronounciation is very imp .......then what is wrong in appreciating someone for this?........even his cousin Hema had some diction prob and was highly criticised for it ........ 😊

as far as regionlaism goes asking support from his home ground is regionalism?...

arrey agar sabko apney apney ghar sey khaney key dibbey aatey hain tho jisko ghar sey koyi khaney ka dibba nahin aatha tho wo sochey ga hi ki kyon mere ghar sey dibba nahin aaya 😉

even in politics people choose to run from their homeground ...when voting is there they do need support ......i never seen manmohanji running for his seat from kanyakumari and win the seat......this is the fact of life 😊

and to rest my case i haven't seen anyone who is supporting karunya say vote for him because he is from Andhra or something else ......i have seen every article and all the celebreties have said only one thing ......please listen to him and if you like his singing vote for him ........ 😊

anjali, tht was just ur so called theory (quite inaccurate) about karu's hindi and not a fact.... and i can say this cuz i myself hav studied in a cBSC or as u call it, central school. and no most of our teacher were not north indians. well v did hav many teachers who were marathi's gujurati's etc but they hav been settled in hyd for generatioins so i dun consider them north indians, they r just hyderabadi's. i did comunicate in hindi to my classmates but that hindi, as i'v said earlier is very different from the hindi that v learnt in class. i think karu and i hav grown up in a very similar environment but i can tell u for sure that my hindi is not nearly as good as his. his hindi is more shudh and mine is more hyderabadi. well alll i'm trying to say is he is good in hindi cuz he ahs the ability to grasp the nuances of a language and it ws his interest in langueages which has now become an added asset to his singing. what is so wrong is acknowledging and appreciating this...... try not to read too much into it.
