I was wondering how people outside india can help their contestant in voting and I thought of this idea. If there was an arrangement by sony/official site where anybody could register themselves and specify the votes for their contestant it would be great.

For example say I am in UK and my brother lives in India. I can ask my brother to register and vote on my behalf. I can arrange for funds between him and me. The problem I have now is that he does not have time to vote so many times. If the process is quick and painless then he will do it. I believe the above process can ease the pain.
It would be a win win for everybody
- sony would be happy to see more votes and popularity
- carriers who deliver the SMS would earn more
- contestants would get more votes
- voters who feel helpless can vote
- voters are saved from a laborious process of voting one vote at a time.
There should be transparency of number of votes received to ensure votes received by one contestant are not counted for another and there is no golmaal. For e.g. total votes received, breakdown by contestant, breakdown by state, breakdown by city, breakdown by zipcode, finally breakdown by voter where all numbers properly add up would give lot of transparency. Results should be declared only after cross tallying all voting numbers(may be after being audited). The breakdown need not be publicised.
India is technologically advanced, so I believe this can be done in a day, so that we can all reap the benefits before April 18th.
What do you say? If it is liked and implemented can I get a fee?
