Handwriting Analysis

This person's handwriting denotes that his heart rules his head. He is extremely emotional and highly sensitive. Not only is he artistically inclined, he is also gifted with a poetic sense. His power of visualization is very strong.

Though he puts up a happy front, there is an emotional suppression within him that is linked to his past. Presently, he is going through a low phase. Chances are that he has been through a major depression in his life that almost killed his spirit to live.

Nevertheless, he is also spiritually inclined and has intuitive powers…something not many people are blessed with!

His writing clearly suggests that he will always benefit from somebody's support. However, he should be extremely careful with whom he gets into business with for chances are that he might get cheated. Not to mention that he does not possess the required business acumen. Apart from this, mismanagement of finance will be a constant problem with him.

He should also be careful with himself as sudden accidents are indicated. His writing indicates that he had extremely poor health when he was a child. Chances are that he might hurt his spinal chord or his leg in the near future. Problems related to blood pressure are also indicated.

As mentioned before, he is highly emotional. Had he married earlier, his marriage would have broken up by now. Earlier he was extremely possessive. Now of course things have changed. The period 2001 to 2005 is very positive for him. Chances are that in this period he might get married (a love marriage) and his first child will be a baby girl. I suggest that he should start being more aware in whatever he does and should be careful with his emotional relationships

Sonu Nigam Comes Up Winner

SONU NIGAM is not a new name; he is always in the news. If he isn't singing for Hindi films, he is busy hosting music shows on TV. At the same time he is cutting albums with different music companies.

Sonu's first break in pop music came with the release of ''Kismat'' which was hugely popular, mainly because of the floor friendly ''Tu...'' which became an instant success. Then came the not-so-popular album ''Sanskar'', a product not marketed upto potential. That was when ''Deewana'' was released, lavishly supported with extravagant music videos. Even before we could forget the tunes of ''Deewana'', he is back with ''Mausam''.

This is surely his best performance in a pop album. Not only does it recreate the peppy energy of ''Kismat'', but also proves his vocal excellence and range. All eight tracks are folk-based but well suited to the 'now generation' genre. ''Bijuria'' with its infectious tune and rhyming lyrics, sets the groove for the rest of the album. Excellent mix of tabla and synthesiser together with cool lyrics by Ajay Jhingran gives it lots of energy and that 'tapori' feel. The percussion badshah of India , Sivamani, contributes to two tracks, one of them being ''Tharo Roop'' a pleasant and hummable tune. ''Tere Ghar Ke Raaste'' is equally melodious and gives us a pleasant 'deja vu' feeling. On the flip side we have a performance by Sivamani ''Yesterday was tomorrow'' with the help of Sonu who has sung a medley of ragas. Excellent stuff.

Hero Or Anti-Hero

Just a few days ago Sonu Nigam was not sure whether or not he would make a debut in front of the camera. But a week after the mahurat of his film, directed by Ravindra Peepat, opposite Juhi Babbar, Sonu Nigam signed up to play one of the leads in Raj Kumar Kohli's film which has about ten heroes. But this has not perturbed Raj Babbar in any way. On the contrary, Raj Babbar seemed only too happy to have Sonu essaying a role in Kohli's film, as his aside proves. As Raj whispered to a close colleague, "At least we will not have to take the trouble of coaching Sonu and making him comfortable in front of the camera. He can even out his creases on Kohli saab's set and report for our shooting polished and more at ease!"

Incidentally, though Sonu is the hero of the film, he has a relatively smaller part, while anti-hero Sharad Kapoor is the one with the meatier role. In fact, he is virtually the hero of the film as well!

Tribune News Service CHANDIGARH, June 19 — The man who sent ripples down the spine of the music industry with his debut songs recorded by T-Series was in the city today for a big purpose. Normally one would not hear of singers inaugurating acting institutes, but when one is referring to Sonu Nigam, things get a little exceptional. And this exception stems from the fact that Sonu is not just a singer any more. He will shortly be seen in his new avatar — as an actor. With three movies at hand, he is all set to become a cynosure of all eyes even as a hero. And today he almost blushed as he introduced this fact to the public which was gathered in too big numbers to see him. The occasion was inauguration of a modern film and television institute, The Groomers, in Sector 35. But to talk of the truth, the initial one-hour was too tough to be borne in the sense that the star of the evening was lost among the crowd. As the question-answer sessions progressed the atmosphere kept getting noisier and all one could witness was chaos around with everyone asking another one to keep quiet. Later when things calmed down, many things became known about the institute and why Chandigarh was chosen as its base. The place sounds unique with its claim of offering a comprehensive training in dance, singing and allied fields in a period of just four months. What appeals more to the mind is the solid faculty which the director if the institute, Mr Satto Singh, is supposed to get from Mumbai. "None less than Kishore Namit Kapoor and his troupe will be here to train the aspirants," informed Mr Satto Singh whose association with the industry is about 33-year old. He has been attached to productions like Beti, Pathar aur Payal, Warrant, Kacche Heere, etc. As far as Kapoor is concerned, he is the man who has to his credit the training of stars like Hritik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Sonali Bendre. To add credibility to the venture, the organisers also announced a film Hum phir vohi dil laye hain starring Raj Babbar and Danny in lead roles. Interestingly, hero and heroine of this film, which is due to be directed by Mr Lawrence D'Souza, will be chosen from among those who take the above-stated four month course. Informed Mr Satto Singh,"Lawrence will visit the city and select the star cast for his movies. All we wish to convey is that we are not here to just promise falsely, but also to offer results." It is learnt that Paintal will also come to the city to train those who enroll with The Groomers for the course. Another attraction of the course is that after completion the trainers will get an opportunity to get their portfolios clicked from people of high repute like Jayesh Seth and Jagdish Mali. Introducing the director of the institute today, Sonu said that he had always remembered Satto Singh as the first producer who had offered to sign him for his film. That was when Sonu had said that he could never face the camera. With all such fears having gone with the wind, the state is different when Sonu is ready to face the glaring lights and also test himself in an entirely new field. "But it takes courage to take such a decision, for I am already a known singer. I will have to put in a lot of effort to transform my image."

About his singing, Sonu said that the talent was inborn. "I have been singing since I was as young as three years of age. My life as a singer is spotted with struggles galore. The actual break came much later. But I know I succeeded because I believed that I would," said Sonu who flew back today itself to attend his recording schedule in New Delhi

Music Review of Love You Hamesha

By Suhel Anwar

'Love You Hamesha'. released by Zee Records, has music by maestro A.R. Rahman. But unfortunately for all Rahman fans, this album, like Rahman's previous one, 'One 2 Ka 4', is mixed fare and fails to meet his usual high standards.

The film, directed by ad-filmmaker Kailash Surendranath and produced by Amritraj Solomon Communications, was in the making for a long time. So one wonders if this delay has anything to do with the kind of music that the film has got. The lyrics are by Anand Bakshi and he has done an okay job.

The opening track, 'Ek Thi Ladki', sung by Kavita Krishnamurthy, lacks originality and just about manages to pass muster. The title track, 'Love You Hamesha', by Sonu Nigam, Shweta Shetty and G.V.Prakash, is peppy and is quite effective in spite of reminding one of some of Rahman's old numbers, including 'Rukmani Rukmani' from 'Roja'.

Hariharan and Sadhana Sargam's 'Gup Chup Baatein', the third track in the album is a love ballad. It has fair merit and is easy on the ears. The fourth track, 'Yaar Teri Bewafai'', sung by Mahalaxmi Iyer, is another okay number.

The next track, 'Botal Tod De', by Sonu Nigam and Hema Sardesai is an oridinary number and fails to impress both in terms of its composition and its singing. 'Sone Ka Palang', the last track, is sung by Udit Narayan, Kavita Paudwal and Ila Arun. Like the previous track, this one too suffers on account of lack of any novelty.

On the whole, the album does have a few tolerable numbers but there's no single track that can be termed outstanding. This album from Rahman is a big disappointment

Sonu Nigam pins his hopes on the SAI

Four months ago, Sonu Nigam spearheaded a movement to found an association of singers to safeguard their rights and protect their interests.

Investigation revealed that the organisation, called the Singers Association of India (SAI), already boasts of the top 45 singers in India, including Udit Narayan, Abhijeet, Kumar Sanu, Sunidhi Chauhan, K K, and Shaan.
We called Nigam and he admitted, "We are registering the association, after which we will be formulating the rules and regulations."

Why was such an organisation needed? "There are organisations in the USA and Pakistan for singers, and the media gives them huge support — but there is no one in India to help us.

Cricketers and actors are given much more importance here," said the singer. "In the past, attempts were made by Lataji, Kishoreji and Rafisaab to form such a body, but they failed. Then Alkaji (Yagnik) and I met up last year and thought that we should make an attempt too."

Alka Yagnik is the president of SAI. Continued Nigam, "Every creative field — music directors, directors, producers, choreographers and even chorus singers have associations. It was just the singers who didn't have one. Alka and I called for a meeting of leading singers and everyone agreed that we should go ahead.

Once Ashaji (Bhosle) had called a meeting and tried to get the singers together. She has told us that she is with us. Lata Mangeshkar," added Nigam, "is a member by default. She is with us too."

What is the purpose behind forming the body? Says Nigam, "We have formed SAI to safeguard the rights and interests of singers. We will also be forming a fund that will provide medical assistance or financial support to a singer who is not doing so well, or who is old and is stuck in oblivion. Every singer has a time graph, and I have seen the conditions of singers who are not doing well."

They have already collected their first collection from the second showing on Sony by SAI artistes. But rates of the singers won't be a part of the agenda, informs Nigam. "Every artiste has the right to charge according to their needs and we have no right to govern that."

How have the music directors reacted? "Very positively. In fact it was Aadesh Srivastava, Jatin-Lalit and Javed Akhtar who put the idea into our heads." Adds Yagnik, "We will be co-existing with the music directors who need our support to stand up as a united body, thus increasing our strength."
