People are saying Sandeep is showing his lack of versatility by singing only Udit Narayan songs...well udit narayan IS a versatile singer and has sung a variety of songs...mehndi laga ke rakhna belongs to a totally different genre as compared to the Lagan song...u show versatility by singing diff types of song...you will sing only in the voice you have...versatility doesnt mean singing like Kishore Kumar one day and rafi the other....

Now whether Sandeep is doing justice to the Udit Narayan songs is a different story altogether😛

I really see point in your explanation. I know Mitwa and Mehindi lagake rakhna are different songs. Totally different paced also.

I wouldn't say Sandeep isn't a versatile singer. But his II2 songs, at least for me, have no repeat value yet. I'll listen to his song once, maybe twice. Just my opinion. His good quality is his effortless style singing.

versatility is when meenal sang lambhi judai and kuch na kaho....when amey sang rang de basanti and tu he re or when karu sang sukhi song and hum tum song....we wanna hear sandy sing diff songs by diff singers.. whats wrong with that??? 😕

uditji is a great singer, but his best songs are typically sunny lighthearted songs...so by limiting himself to uditjis songs sandeep is not able to sing ballads, classical type songs ...
