What do you mean by ...fail miserably (like Rang De Basanti).. Amey did full justice with this song!!! He was havin a throat infection..still he tried!!

I totally agree with you atleast he did not highlight his problem like the other contestants on the day of the gala,and get sympathy votes.😡😡😡

Amey didnt fail miserably in RDB-----not at one point did he lose sur or taal....

If ur fav. is not doing well then i suggest u try n campaign in a positive manner for tht contestant....rather than generate negative propaganda....

Infact i think ppl shd pick rickshawala type songs song in a mid-octave range with little scope for improvisation n proving versitality....n tht can be sung in a nasal voice.....n yes, if tht is not enuf, also harp on abt a bad throat n a tough life-style-----coz good singing alone doesnt get u votes...

Thought I absolutely do not support your example in Option #1, I would say that my vote goes for Option #2.
It is always better to perform what you are totally confident about.
