MUMBAI: Fans of the popular music-based television show "Indian Idol" will get to see Hollywood star Will Smith in the episode to be telecast Monday.
The "Men in Black" star will be seen encouraging the six participants in the talent hunt show, sources in Sony TV said.
The episode will be recorded Friday and the show telecast Monday.
"He will not be a judge but will be there to encourage the participants and perhaps part with a few nuggets of advice," the source told IANS.
The celebrity judge on Monday's show will be Bollywood's top hitmaker Karan Johar and the six participants will be Meenal Jain, Antara Mitra, Amey Date, Sandeep Acharya, Anuj Sharma and N.C. Karunya.
Smith, who has an enviable fan following in India as the world over, is currently in India to launch a new television channel.
"Indian Idol" is patterned on the lines of "American Idol" and is currently in its second run.
