Antara's Valentine day Fan Fiction

Theme: Love – Valentine Day

Members : Sumesh, Karish, Sonya, Shawn And Chukkna

Love is Friendship

This is the story of the "best friends forever" (BFF, in short). We: Antara, Sumesh, Karish, Sonya, Shawn and myself (chukkna).

It was like yesterday, when we were in school, carefree and all we cared were our small dreams. We all grew up together. We were named as "toli" which means gang. We would play together, after school fun, pluck fruits from trees. We were partners in every deed. If anyone was alone, people would ask "Toli kahan hai?" meaning: where is the toli? The toli was referred as a singular word, as if we all were one yet 6 individuals. No ones interests ever matched but there was something that bounded us in a close loop, and I think that was day dreaming. We were all day dreamers. I wanted to become an artist, Shawn into his computer world, Karish: an actress, Sonya: a cinematographer, Sumesh: a director; Antara playback singer. She would say "I will sing with Sonu Nigam one day" and we would make fun of her, that she can become a maid at his place. Sonu was an established singer and we were still in school. We never thought she would come to this extent.

We are going to Mumbai: the city of dreams, "The Maya Nagari".Why? 'Cos Antara became Indian Idol; 👍🏼 on 12^th Feb she is giving her first stage performance. It is an honor for us to attend the concert. Should I call her a super star or my "bestest" old friend? 😳Oh my God, its unbelievable.

Antara was witty. She was emotional yet strong, simple yet smart and above all she was a very caring and loving friend. We loved biking to Bangladesh border as it was close by, watch the border for hours, talk about how people sacrifice their life to save the country.

We had a secret admirer of Antara. We got to know only after she left for II competition. Once Antara left for Mumbai, we found him praying night and day for her success. We saw him really getting restless if judges would comment on her. He would not even close his eye lids when Antara would be performing.

We boarded the train. The coolie is asking us to get an autograph of Antara. We told every person we spoke to, that we are going to meet her. No one could believe that we knew Antara. As the train started running, once again our discussion started, who will meet her first. Except for Sumesh, we all are talking, having a gala time. Karish noticed that Sumesh was quiet and no matter how much we poked him he remained silent. 😔

We reached Mumbai. We were received by her driver as she was busy with concert preperations. We reached the hotel Park Plaza, where our stay was arranged. We were tired after the long journey and all slept at odd time. I woke up to write my diary in the middle of the night and found Sumesh lost in his thoughts. I thought of not troubling him again by asking the same question 100^th time.😕

Finally the day arrived. We were excited to meet Antara. At the concert, we were waiting for her. The crowd was cheering up.👏 The show started with award ceremony followed by Antara's first stage concert as Indian Idol. In a beautiful white saree appeared Antara. She was looking stunning. For the first time she saw us in the crowd cheering for her. She was all in tears and so were we. It was an honor for us to be introduced as her friends and camera focussing on us.😛

Antara was busy; she couldn't meet us after the concert. We were a bit disappointed.😭 But Valentine's Day was set aside for us. The next day we all went for shopping and the day just went by.

It was valentine's day.😊 We all dressed up and reached the restaurant "Gateway of India" on time. It was crowded and we would see every one in pairs. Sumesh's silence mystery was still unresolved and we had decided to leave him in silence. Sometimes patience pays.

We were waiting eagerly for Antara to show up and there she was, our super star, dressed in a red gown, dressed to kill. Who would say that this is our same Antara who always felt complex for her looks but always confident otherwise? She was looking absolutely stunning and glamorous.⭐️ We were spell bound to look at her beauty. People just crowded her up from all directions and she was lost. We couldn't see her and we decided to go to her place instead of being among the crowd.

We showed her all presents that our neighbors, her relatives, parents, kids have sent for her. She was amazed that people still remember her tastes. Sumesh was just looking at her, spellbound. 😔

Antara suddenly realized this as to what happened to her natkhat shyam, that's how she would refer him. We started complaining about him and how weird he has been behaving since we have decided to come to Mumbai. I guess only she could understand his language of heart. She looked at him and became quite. Again we started off our chat and our endless discussions and fun.

We could see the discomfort of Antara and Sumesh. We were busy eating dinner and Antara's cell rang. She walked to the balcony, had a brief talk, and announced she had to leave. She called Sumesh to the other room to have a talk. By now we were certain that there was something cooking up between them. Sumesh followed her with his chin down. We were peeping in the room, wondering what the issue was. Antara was all in tears, words wouldn't come out her mouth. She wanted to say something but almost choked and we could see her efforts. Sumesh had tears rolled on his cheeks and was just looking at Antara spell bound. Antara wished him Happy Valentine's Day and gave him a small present. All she said that she would wait for his answer. Sumesh looked confused, happy that he got a card from Antara.😊 He was shy from the beginning. He managed to say that he wished she had stayed a little longer. She promised to meet again next day.

We were curious to know what was in her present.😉 It was her diary from childhood. She kept all the sweet memories of our togetherness, especially her time with Sumesh. We were shocked, surprised and a mixed feel of emotions were running thru our minds. We never knew she loved him more than her life. On the last page she had mentioned about her love for Sumesh and she would love to spend the whole life with him. She wanted the answer from Sumesh and we knew it was a yes. Shawn started dancing and Kairsh, Sonya and I were in tears. We danced, drank and cheered for Sumesh all night.😛 He was so relieved and we could see the tears of joy in his eyes. 😳

The next morning Antara came and we made Sumesh propose her formally. He was happy to do that as his doubts that the Star Antara wouldn't accept his love was gone. Antara was all in surprise, blushing, smiling. 😊 He gave her a hug.🤗 She was looking so pretty and I think that is when we had a closer look on them as a couple and surely they looked wonderful. We sang the song:

Megha and Amey were childhood friends. They're families were also very close. At the age of 8, Amey was sent abroad to London for his studies, and Megha was left behind in India without Amey because she could not leave her mother Prapti alone.

Amey lived in London for about 15 years and Megha had been waiting for him for that long. She was and still is crazily in love with him but never expressed her feelings to Amey. For Amey, Megha was always his best friend, whom he could share anything and everything with.

It is the occasion of Amey's younger sister, Menahil's wedding, and Amey finally returns back to India after 15 long years. Also, Menahil is very romantic so she wanted her wedding near Valentine's Day.


THE STORY BEGINS!!! (2 & 1/4 Pages from here on)

It's the morning of February 14 and after living 15 years abroad, Amey is finally returning to his home on the very day of his younger sister Menahil's mehendi. His house is full of guests and relatives. Everybody is waiting desperately for Amey's arrival, especially Menahil and his childhood friend, Megha, who happens to love Amey dearly. Prapti, Megha's mom, Megha and others are helping Menahil get ready for the mehendi ceremony. But instead of Menahil, the centre of attention is Megha. Since everyone, except Amey is well aware of Megha's love for him, everyone links Megha with Amey. Every time Amey's name is mentioned, Megha blushes and tries her best to change the topic.

Suddenly a doorbell attracts everyone's attention. Amey enters the house looking dashing as always. Megha's heart skips a beat. She leaves Menahil's room and runs downstairs trying to catch a glimpse of Amey. Meanwhile Amey wants to see how his sister is looking on the day of her mehendi so he greets everyone in a hurry and runs upstairs. Megha flies through the stairs but since she is excited to see Amey she doesn't notice a child and bangs into him. She loses her balance but Amey swiftly gets a hold of her. She twists her ankle but Amey doesn't seem to notice, and does not recognize her either. He leaves without saying a word as he is in a hurry to see his dear sister. Megha is left spellbound by his touch.

As the day passes by, Amey catches up with almost everything that had happened since he left for London. Finally when he gets a chance to escape everyone he goes to his room to freshen up. In his room, he sees his childhood photo with his best friend Megha and wonders where she is now. As he is thinking about Megha, his girlfriend Malvika calls him. He seems to be irritated by her call especially when memories of Megha were flooding back to him. Amey then tells Malvika that he is really very busy and will talk to her later. Then Amey's dog Brownie enters his room and licks his face. As naughty as he is, Brownie takes away the photograph from his hand and then runs with it. Amey follows his dog helplessly, shouting behind him.

Brownie runs towards the garden where Megha is sitting alone, lost in the thoughts of Amey. Brownie drops the photograph there. Megha picks it up but before she could see it, Amey comes and says, "Uhh woh meri photograph hai." Megha hands him the photograph without saying a word. He's about to leave, but turns back and introduces himself to Megha and asks if she is okay since she had a close call at the stairs. He then asks Megha her name. As Megha is about to reply, a bunch of kids come shouting, "Megha Didi Megha Didi" and take her away along with them. Amey just stands paralyzed.

Amey then thinks of following Megha. She is playing in the garden with the kids. Amey blocks her way and says, "Tumne ye bataya kyon nahi ki tum meri Megha ho?" In return Megha says, "Mujhe laga ki aap apni Megha ko pehchhan loge." Then the kids ask Amey to join them in the game of catching-catch, which was Amey and Megha's favourite game of childhood. Amey is the first one to be blindfolded. Since Megha is unable to run around with a twisted ankle, Amey ends up catching her easily. Amey opens his blindfold and finds Megha in his arms. Amey gazes straight at Megha. But Megha lowers her eyes in embarrassment. Neither of them want to let go of each other. Amey remains still admiring Megha, her beauty, her lowered gaze, her smile, everything about her. Just then a kid comes running to them and says, "Amey bhaiyya hum catching-catch khel rahein hai, statue-statue nahin" and runs off. Both of them pull back and then Megha's aunt Sneha calls her inside to put mehendi on her hands. Amey decides to follow her inside since he has nothing better to do. The mehendi ceremony completes and everyone starts getting busy with the preparations for the sangeet in the evening, which is also accompanied by a Valentine's Day dance.

Amey gets changed for the evening party and is heading downstairs. Megha, the lady of the night, comes out of a room in a golden/nude colour sari with a noodle-strap blouse. Amey is spellbound and stunned by her's beauty. She looks at Amey from the corner of her eyes and feels his gaze on her, but she can't gather up the courage to stare back at him. Finally unable to resist the temptation anymore, Amey advances towards her, stops and then suddenly leans towards her. Megha is too stunned to react but her heart starts beating rapidly. Slowly Amey reaches for her hair clip and lets her hair loose. He says nothing except "Tumhare baal khule zyada achchhe lagte hain" and he leaves. Megha can't react and finally when she gets back to her senses, she blushes deeply. She thinks about what Amey did with the hair clip. She begins thinking if he has the same feelings for her and loves her as much as she loves him.

The sangeet finally begins and Adi, one of Amey's friends comes and tells him that someone 'special' has come to meet him. While Amey is searching for that special someone, Megha spots her favourite cousin MALVIKA sitting with Prapti in the living room and is really surprised. She hugs her cousin and they share a special moment together. Amey spots Megha and Malvika together and is really surprised to see that they know each other. He introduces Malvika to Megha as his "good friend" but Malvika interrupts saying that she's his girlfriend and that they are hopefully going to marry each other soon.

Megha is shocked and heartbroken, she excuses herself and heads towards the kitchen. There, she starts crying and keeps questioning herself as to why she's crying instead of being happy for her cousin. She wipes away her tears and decides to join others at the party. Meanwhile, Amey is wondering why Megha left. He gets pissed off and asks Malvika why she had to mention 'marriage' in front of Megha especially when they had yet to discuss it. Just then a waiter comes with masks for the mask-dance. DJ Siddh announces that you have to dance with the person who's wearing the same mask as yours. Megha and Amey end up having the same mask so they dance together.

For Megha, there couldn't be any worse punishment than to dance with Amey, how could she enjoy and dance when she had just seen her dreams getting shattered, how could she just let go of the dream she had cherished for 15 years in just a few hours? She turns away and tries to walk off but Amey has a strong hold on her. He couldn't let Megha leave when he is just beginning to understand his strong feelings for Megha. He thinks, "Is it just a love for a childhood friend or something deeper and more intense?" Megha couldn't fight off Amey's hold on her as the emotional battle going inside her had left her completely powerless and feeble. Just then Amey notices a tear rolling down Megha's shimmering cheeks. He couldn't bear to see Megha crying. He didn't know why she was crying but he wanted to protect Megha from everything in the world, no one could hurt her. Megha's tears turned into sobs. Amey desperately tries to explain to Megha about his and Malvika's relationship but Megha is not ready to hear anything from Amey.

Amey leaves the dance floor and a sobbing Megha decides to leave the party. But Ayesha, Megha's best friend, requests Megha to sing a song. After many protests, Megha finally agrees to sing a song when Menahil says Amey will give her company. Megha pours her heart out singing the song "Hum Mile Na Mile" from Kisna.

After she finishes the song, Megha is determined to avoid Amey at the party. Amey is desperate to know why Megha is acting so awkward. Just then Megha passes by Amey and he grabs her hand and corners her. Megha is suddenly aware of Amey's presence and the few inches between them. Her heart starts racing and she can feel every beat of Amey's heart and even realizes that it matches her own. But Amey is ignorant about all this. Megha's heart is suddenly heavy with her crushed dreams so she pleads him to leave her alone. Amey suddenly leaves Megha and proceeds towards the terrace leaving Menahil and Malvika astonished behind him.

Amey struggles to find the answers when he spots Megha on the terrace as well. He thinks he's dreaming but Megha is REALLY standing there. He goes up to her and is about to touch her face when Megha turns away, yelling 'Amey?!' Then through the corner of his eye, he notices Megha's tear-stained face. Amey then looks deep into her eyes, eyes full of questions, pain yet beautifully glittering with tears. He asks her what she's doing on the terrace and she simply replies that one of her biggest illusions has just been broken and she doesn't want to be at the party.

Amey feels guilty because of this so he tries to tell Megha that he is not serious about Malvika but before he is able to utter a word, Megha interrupts him saying that there's nothing to talk about. Megha is about to leave but Amey holds her back. A chilly breeze makes Megha's silky brown hair cover her innocent face. He tucks those silky locks behind her ears, lifts up her face and wipes away her tears. Amey brings her face closer and whispers that he wants to tell her something. Megha tries to pull away but Amey pulls her back even closer this time. They are only an inch apart from each other and could sense each other's breaths. Amey just can't continue talking; he's lost again in Megha's beautiful face. Megha then snaps back to reality, pulls herself out of Amey's arms and runs down to the garden.

Ayesha spots Megha running, so she goes to meet Amey who explains to her everything that has happened between them. She tells Amey that sometimes a single moment is enough and sometimes even a lifetime falls short to realize that you love someone. She also tells him about Megha's love for Amey since childhood and how she feels about him marrying her favourite cousin. Amey is shocked, he asks why didn't Megha ever tell him anything before. Ayesha replies that everything doesn't need to be told and that there are some things that are just felt and that Megha assumed that even he would have the same feelings for her.

Amey goes down to find Megha but he can't find her anywhere. He spots Malvika in a room and decides to talk to her about everything because Malvika was more of a friend to Amey than a girlfriend. However he struggles to find the right words to tell her everything without breaking her heart. Malvika apologizes to him for talking about the marriage before discussing about it with him. Then she hugs him and tells him how much she loves him and doesn't want to lose him. He pulls away and imagines her to be Megha. Then he ends up pulling her back into his arms saying, "Megha I love you", repeatedly.

Meanwhile Megha is sitting on a swing in the garden, crying. Amey moves towards her and taps her on her shoulder. She turns around and is upset to see him. She asks him to leave her alone. He tells her that he left her alone for those 15 years and now he doesn't want to spend even a single moment without her. He also says that he always treated Malvika as a friend and again tells her that he loves her and only her. Megha tries to act very strong and tells Amey she hates him. But deep into her heart, she knows she never loved anyone as much as she loves Amey. She keeps telling him how mean he is and that she is too good for him. Then in all that anger, she breaks down in his arms and confesses her everlasting love for Amey. Those three magic words brought back the passion in both of them, which they had been burying deep down inside their hearts for the last 15 years. They share a compassionate hug on the night of Valentine's Day, under the shimmering stars and the full moon....

And their love blossoms……

ONE WHO DARES IT

Meenal desperately punched numbers on the phone. It was already 11 am and she did not want her excursion to the Jim Corbett Park with her friends to be further delayed. Meenal Jain a young, bubbly and vivacious college-going girl was mumbling to herself while waiting for the answer. Finally somebody picked it up from the receiverfs end.


Meenal said eKamini, where are you sweetie, we are so late we wont even be able to catch the tigers.f Kamini replied ejust relax, I will be off in 5 minutes, Itisha & Saad are going to meet us there only err , but Amar Kapoor called up to say that he would not be joining us.f.

Meenal gave a slight shudder. Amarfs name always sent a shiver down her spine. He was the heart-throb of the college, in fact almost every girl was mad about him, Meenal too was one of them, but she was never able to confess her secret love for him.

Meenal picked up her binoculars and her jacket and finally left for the park. When she reached there she saw that Kamini and Saad were already there chatting together. A little behind she saw Itisha hooked on her mobile. When they all saw Meenal, they waved her a big Hi and off they started with their trekking. Priya, Prettyguria and Fg_fan were still missing but they decided that if they waited for them they will get further delayed. Meenal suggested that they should call Priya through Itishafs mobile and inform her that they will be waiting for them inside the park. Meenal bought tickets and also informed the guard that they are expecting three more friends. .
They went inside the park and were flabbergasted to see the natural beauty. They also spotted few birds. They were enjoying themselves when suddenly Saad noticed that Kamini had her mouth wide open. She could barely manage to point her finger towards the trees. There were a group of 12-13 guys along with an inspector trying to shoot some deer. .

Itisha, who was the youngest and the most short tempered girl of all, rushed towards them. She asked them ewhat the hell do you think you are doing? Donft you know that hunting is illegal and you are an inspector.f But even before she could complete her sentence, one of the huge guys shoved her back. Another guy tried coming up to hit her. Meenal, who had the reputation for always being calm & composed, tried to control the situation. She pleaded elisten, what she is saying is true. And officer, you should be arresting them instead of joining them.f

But the matter became so intense that Meenal failed to notice a figure slinking towards her. Quick as a flash he came behind her and gave her a hard push. She was down on the ground. She could faintly hear the cries of dismay of her friends, but then, Meenal just couldnft open her eyes and everything blacked out!.

It was a dark, cold place. Apparently, the guys had overpowered all the others and captivated them in some strange house. Saad was the first one to regain consciousness. He tried to wake-up Kamini who was the nearest to him. U r r m. Kamini gave a slight groan. God what happened? Meenal woke up too..

It took them some time to realize that they had been taken into captivity. Kamini could see two guys standing with a dog, outside the window. Quickly Meenal said we have to untie ourselves and move out of this place. They all untied the ropes from their hands.
eHow, how do we get out of heref Itisha whispered ethose guys are guarding the door; there is simply no way out.f The words were hardly out of her mouth when the man had opened the door. Saad came rushing from behind, but by then the other man had let the dog free. The dog jumped up on him. He tried to rise but the muscular animal was too strong for him..

The three girls looked, horrified by the sight. Suddenly courage returned to Meenal. She rushed around the corner of the house where she saw a hose coiled around on a hook near the foundation. After quickly unwinding it, she turned on the water full force, and then hurried back. Surprised and shocked, the guys started running away, but the war was not yet over. eKamini and Saad ran and get some help!f cried Meenal eItisha and I will go after the hunters.f.

Meanwhile, Itisha also tried to call up the police from her mobile. As the guy saw her reaching for her phone, he turned back. He put his one hand inside his coat. Suddenly it occurred to Meenal that he might be reaching for a secret weapon!.

But before he had a chance, Meenal grabbed his arm and yanked it upward. Ga-ga-gac.the man gurgled. The other tried coming up to save him, but before that the police jeep had come along with their three other friends---- Prettyguria, fg_fan and Priya. They told them when they reached the park; they saw that a group of guys were bashing them, so they informed the police..

eWell, now we have to ask them about their partners and have to get them all arrestedf Meenal said..

The police took the two guys into custody and forced them to tell about their friends. Two hours later, the commissioner came to meet them. He told them that they have arrested all the 12 guys and that the police officer has been suspended... He then congratulated them all and said eas u are aware that poaching is very rampant amongst the youngsters and it becomes really difficult to punish them when officers themselves are involved, but the kind of courage you all have shown specially Meenal by capturing the man with weapon, you have proved your bravery. You all are youth icons!f He also told them that he will send a special recommendation for all to their college principal and in the newspaper..

The next day in college, Meenal was sitting alone when somebody tapped her shoulder. eAmar !f Meenal exclaimed. Amar replied eYeah, itfs me. Actually, I just wanted to tell you what you did yesterday was very brave of you and we all are very proud of you. I also wanted to ask, if you are free this Saturday, we could go for dinner together.f Meenal couldnft believe her ears. Amar had asked her out!! It was such a warm, sunny day. Everyone was coming up to her and praising her. Meenal Jain loved everybody and everybody loved Meenal Jain..

Makeymytrip.com the travel agency have announced a promotion on Indian Idol among NRI viewers. They have announced that all those that win the promotion will get to visit india and stay in Mumbai for 5 days. They will attend the great gala final of Indian Idol and spend time with them for a day and all the expences will be given by Makemytrip.com
Several thousands of fans all across the globe have participated and the winners were soon annonced. Lucky, Arpita, Ameesha, Anila, Reshma,Rekha, and Harsh were the winners and they were sent the tickets and hotel details in Mumbai. Harsh was so excited to receive the round trip tickets. He so wanted to see the competeion live and meet hi fav Karu and his two other favs Amey and Meenal.
He was eagerly packing and getting ready for the trip, and the days were rolling so slow. As the time was coming nearer, he was hoping and praying that, Karu would survive till top 2 . He didn't want to go, if Karu wasn't in the final. Every week he was praying that Karu would be safe . Karu came into top3 and finally the time has rolled into the final week. He started checking the updates. All the three finalists have really rockked and there was no way you could tell who would go.Meenal came first and gave an absolutely stupendous performance. All the judges were full of praise. What a transformation in her thought Harsh. Next came Karu and he san woh krishna hai and it was unbelievable stuff. He has got the entire audience to thier feet. Amey came next and gave a mindblowing performance. The two days rolled by quickly as Amey and Karu went through to the final round.
Harsh was so excited as he would be meeting and seeing Karu personally.
Thursday evening he boarded a connecting flight to NewJecy from where all the selected people will fly to India. He met Arpita, lucky,Ameesha, Reshma, Rekha and was delighted to know that even they all like Karu and want him to win. They all had fun in the plane cutting jokes and playing Antakshari and also praying to God that Karu would win as Amey is such a great talent ,there is no telling who would win the crown.
They arrived at Mumbai airport and were received by the makemytrip representative, who took them all to their hotel . It was Friday midnight, by the time they reached, the representative told them,to sleep well as tomorrow is the shooting for the finals. Harsh was beside himself with excitement.
The time came for the shooting and Harsh and Arpita made good friends with each other. Lucky is fond of serving and she got snacks for everyone.Anila, Reshma and Rekha went and bought Karu posters for all of them. They reached the studio ontime for the shooting. all the audiences got settled down and the host Mini introduced the celebrity judge for the finals , it was SRK wow! shrieked everyone with joy.
It was one mind blowing final, both Amey and Karu did a fabulous job and Judges and the audience were awestruck, what a talent everyone thought.
On Sunday Arpita,Ameesha Lucky, Anila, Reshma, Rekha and Harsh got a chance to spend the whole day with Karu and Amey. They fallowed them everywhere they went. They all went to a restaurent and had fun, cutting jokes, singing, dancing and enjoying. What a trip Harsh thought, looking at the two idols who were having so much fun, not worried about the outcome.
Monday Harsh and Ameesha did a lot of shopping and the others Arpita,lucky, anila, Reshma and Rekha relaxed. In the evening all of them sat down in one room and watched the episode and so thrilled to see the camera passed them a couple of times during the shoot, as they flew specially for the show.
Tuesday was a very tensed day, all sat the room predicting who would win. In the afternoon they went to the results shooting and were interviewed by Sony about their lucky trip from US. It was a fun interview. The anchor wanted to know if Ameesha and Harsh have something going, showing them a clip of their shopping together. Harsh brushed it aside saying we are good friends thats all, to which Lucky and Anila nodded.Arpita, Reshma and Rekha were totally tensed up during the shoot and Reshma could not hide her tears as Aman and Mini were teasing the audience by prolonging the results. Finally the results were declared and Karu won by a slight margin of 500 votes and it was ecstacey and joy for the visiting promotion winners.
They were waiting for a chance to talk to Karu again, but he was totally busy and couldn't say a word. Finally Harsh got a chance to sneak through to Karu and congratulated him. All 7 took a life time of memories with them and flew back to their homes.

What a trip thought Harsh, just like a dream. Wait till I post it in Karu fan club.
