Ravi is still there because people still like him.(not him...but his ancestry) As for singing goes there is no doubt that he knows the singing and sur, he might require a bit of polishing to suit the refined ears.(yes..and thus by the time he polishes his sur and tunes, we would have had idol # 45)which as a indian idol he will always have opportunity to do so.(which is what everyone who votes for him think but no matter how much he improvizes on his gayiki, his voice will always remain N_A_S_A_L....and this thinking that use idol banne do..phir khud ba khud improve kareega is crap.....qazi definitely improved but never in his lifetime can he match arijit) one more thing, popularity is always not directly proportion to knowledge(which is really sad as we get ppl like qazi who are completely devoid of talent and just by fluke get the title ....its really sad, ....not only in music...this happens in every field...the best never get their due adulation and its always the wannabies/mercy seekers/show offs who hog the limelight). otherwise actors like Nasaruddin and ompuri would have been the more popular than Salman khan.(i agree here...but if you are trying to draw the analogy between salman khan and ravi tripathi, then dude, sallu is a star in his own right and has the looks....at least sallu has the looks/persona/....ravi mammu has NOTHING BUT IS JUST A LUCKY CHAP) Manmohan singh would have been more popular than Sonia Gandhi.(i think Dr.Singh is much more popular than Mrs.Gandhi😕.....trust me, no one wanted her to become the PM of india.....and ppl have great regard for Dr.Singh.....you took a wrong example...a better one would be that of jyothi basu and bddhadeb bhattacharya.)
