Why do we have to Idolize a good singer

Firstly, I do not believe that an Indian Idol has to be a good singer or even someone who could sing. Why is that a requirement.
If sonu or saregamapa or anyone is looking for a good singer than do something else. Public will vote for someone they like and probably singing is the last thing they will see. The public voting so far has confirmed that.
I think the judges should stop harping on the point that we need to vote for someone who sings well. We are choosing an Indian Idol and not a singer.
THat is why people choose Abhijeet Sawant over Amit sana if it was about a
better singer they would have made Amit sana the Indian IDol.

amit sana is a good singer i agree...but i dont think he is a versatile singer
he cannot sing every kind of song...hearing a romantic number from him does not sound good...that new movie called sun zara..amit has lent his voice to it and i didnt like the soundtrack at all
i think abhijeet is an amazing singer...he just needs more songs and practice...atleast he can sing any kind of song
i am an amit sana fan as well but i have to agree that amit can not sing EVERY type of song...sum songs dont suit him

now getting back to chosing indian idol..i agree with u that this time around janta is making a mistake and are chosing onli those who they like and not who are deserving (tho last season as well, rahul saxena was out early in the comptition)...but last season i feel they made the best decision to chose abhijeet as the indian idol

Abhijeet sings quite good even if not as good as Amit Sana ... and he has that something called x-factor and he had a lot of charm

This time there's nothing in ravi and sandeep who are being declared safe 😕 .. they're average singers, they are not more good looking than a number of other singers and they obviously do not have x-factor

Yeah right.. Indian Idol should be choosen on the basis of kabaddi match instead of singing.. there is no need to be a good singer.. very right..

exactly my point, public doesn't think that the Indian idol needs to be a good singer. Singing is probably the last thing they have in their mind when they define Indian Idol.
Then why is sonu and Anu harping on the singing part so much. Don't they getthe message.
