India is known as a country with cultural background. Indian people respect human, social, classical and cultural values. India has always honoured talented Singers, dancers or actors. But recently Indian Public has proved this belief wrong because public is voting out the most talented contestants and voting in the least deserving people. It is happening on Saregamapa and Indian Idol: India's two largest Realty Shows.

These days television industry is run by bunch of TRP conscious individuals, who care less about Contestant's talent and their future; gives authority to Indian Public to select an INDIAN IDOL or VOICE OF INDIA or FAME JODI. The reason these TV Channels do that because they make tons of money from public voting. 80%-90% of the public has no knowledge of singing or performing. They just vote for the person because this person is from their region or they are told by someone to vote for money or fame.

I strongly believe that this should be stopped before it ruins these kids career. Sony should consider giving 50% rights to Public Voting and 50% rights to Esteemed Jury. Believe it or not these judges are professional in their fields and they will take an unbiased decision based on singing, Performance and X-Factor

Yes Neelamji,
We need more people like you. You being from Punjab, are supporting genuine talent from all around the country.
You are a true music fan. We just pray people back home in India think like you do and vote for Amey, Karu, Meenal and Antara.
God bless them 4 true talents on the show.

Thanks Harsha, But Bharat ki Janata ko kaun sabak sikhaye??????????? You can see the least deserving contestants are still standing there and showing their silly smile and talented kids like Monali and Dilpreet are gone. We all know that everyone has to leave one by one. But the results has to make some sense. Ravi Tripathi should have been gone three weeks ago. I hope Our Native Indians can do justice to OUR TRULY DESERVING CONTESTANTS: Karunya, Amey, Antara and Meenal.

As I've said it all along, Indian Idol DEFINATELY NEEDS to adopt South Afican Idol voting format, in which 40% of the votes are given to the judges. For S.A.Idol 3 they gave 49% of votes to the judges! India needs that format, a.s.a.p. Though the damage is already done. As much as it pains me to say, Meenal will be out in the next Gala unless she pulls out a Prajakta Shukre. Antara's postion is scary...Somewhat like Aditi Paul. Antara will be safe, but when she comes to the bottom three, she leaves. Alot of AVERAGE singers will be in the Top 5 & I'm pretty certain someone, who definately is not that great will win.
