I think the one who started this thread hasnt mean to point out that he is gay or not....

I think Priya tried to express that Karunya got a girlish character & thats why his personality cant be compared to a man perfectly...Or may be she thinking one who got a girlish behaviour or girlish body language in a man is a "G*Y"

Anyways by using "G*Y" she created all problems...

So pls dont deviate thsi topic in that direction....

I think Priya should remove that or reply ehre so that no more arguemnts goes in taht direction ....

Its just becoz of his dancing trainign only & all who learn that type of dance act this way only...But compared to that Karunya is far better too....

Also we shoudl encourage people who can sing & dance well...Its not easy for a man to learn that type of dance..

I understand tht his behaviour may seem a bit awkward to ppl who rnt aware of the style of kuchipudi dancers.

I didnt find it awkward coz Im frm teh south myself and I knw of male dancers who behave in this fashion....however, not every1 else is aware of these things.....it happens! so, No probs! 😛 😊 😃

ROTFLMAO!!!!

That was the most hilarious thing I have heard in a long time. I thought I was the only one who constantly looked at people and went "Thats so Gay!"

Anyways dunno if you meant it dead serious or joking. If you were serious....If my dar can be trusted Karunya is straight as a plank. He is just more comfortable expressing his emotions which is really a great part of his personality.

wow! mixed reactions!! 😊

But i've clearly offended some die-hard KARUNYA fans! And i do apologise for that but cos everyone in this forum are from all over... people take it in different ways! Like returns_to_hades said, it's also very similiar in the UK too, to comment on how gay something or someone is without meaning anything so serious! His style certainly is different (which i happened to call GAY! Cos that's just how we talk here! And didn't mean it literally! 😊 ) AND EVEN I KNOW HE SINGS BRILLIANTLY! AND LOVED HIS VERSION OF "LAYI VI NA GAYEE" But still feel his choice of song can really jeopardize his place in the top ten! As was apparant by tuesday's results!

but people have to understand that once normal people become celebs their lives automatically becomes everyone's business! Many famous people have said that themselves! And they are gonna be talked about naturally! In the newspaper, gossip columns what not! SO LEARN TO ACCEPT IT PPL!

i wish people would take voting this seriously! 😊

jochadha - people use gay in every sentence! god knows what generation you come from!! so yeah i probably am younger than you! 😊 learn to chill out!

and as for uknaik - does that mean your one too? 😃

anyways, dont wanna create a hoo-ha!

Thanks Sumesh for pointing out he does some typa dancing which is evident in his mannerism! Just glad his voice is masculine! 😛

I did apologise cos people took it in different contexts! But nonetheless, IT'S A FREE WORLD!!! People are entitled to say what they think and feel! If you don't like it, too tough!

I too am a Karunya fan and I was not at all offended by the comment. He is a great singer and an adorable fellow.
It's quite common in the US and I see in the UK to point at someone or something and go 'Thats so GAY' its not meant to be offensive to gay people or the person, just in good humor. Tis like people say...'HP is so GAY'.
Ahhh....as for celebreties private lives. I am not too keen on celebrity gossip and hate media that interferes in private lives. Celebebrities are public figures but there has to be a line drawn somewhere.

Yea i get what u mean priya...ppl do tend to use the word 'gay' in their everyday language-w/o referring to the literal meaning.

The very fact that his body language has become a debate goes to show that he does need to bring abt some changes in the way he behaves. However thts totally his choice- I love him the way he is.
But then perhaps it'll help if he behaves differently esp. considering the fact tht ppl take in2 consideration a person's looks n attitude when voting for them.

AS 4 the media- well yes its hard to ignore them- but they they are bound to talk rubbish anyway. i remember there used to articles written on KAran johar n SRK being gay. BUt as seen in these cases, at the end of the day, it's only the talent tht matters.

I honestly dont think people should have to change their mannerisms just because it makes people assume stuff about them.
As you said talent counts.....WTF cares if you act gay or not.

u rite return_to_hades- but then sadly the indian public doesnt necessarily vote on the basis of talent...for the sake of this competition it'll perhaps be better for karunya to change.
But in the long-run its only the talent tht counts!

Yup I have been dissapointed with the way some of the votes have gone. However, in favor of Karunya a lot of girls like guys who behave more sensitively like him...so he could try cashing in on female votes. Take SRK for example who has made it big despite of his often girly behavior.

well i'm glad at least some people understand this typa lingo! 😆

Well about the media- i mentioned it cos even though in this case i didn't literally mean he's gay. But if tomorrow's papers have such things published and people don't like it, what are they gonna do?! protest?!

But cos this is a forum it's fine for people to reply saying they didn't like what i said and that it's his singing abilities that matter! Fine, that I can accept but the crap some people were comin' out i ain't gonna! Especially since it was based on some light humour!

Thats all! 😊
