Poor Quality..Lower Expectations

After watching ALL 12 singers sing yesterday (the first song that they sang together) followed by watching ALL 6 men sing, it is evident that there is a huge difference in the quality of singers in II2 as compared to II1. These singers are very poor in quality. They are all amateurs compared to the previous batch. Additionally, if you compare them to the SRGMP singers, they are down right terrible. I've lowered my expectations of this show significantly and do not expect to find a singer who is high caliber (like Abhijeet). Indian Idol is going to take a severe beating of it's brand image. I also think that their ratings for this show will be significantly lower.

All in all, quite disappointed.

I didn't watch II1, but i don't think that II2 has poor quality as compared to the initial rounds of other singing competitions. It might improve as they proceed towards the top singer. 😊

i think the girls sound more professional and seasoned than the boys... but then i felt that in II1 too

i liked all the performances last night. i don't think II-1 singers were better than II-2. it also depends on the choice of songs. these contestants need to select better songs.

Well there is a lot of talent this season too- Amey, Panna, Meenal, Karunya and even Panna have quite a good voice quality. It just depends on personal opinion. I was disappointed in the last piano rnd for the girls though...

i am not disappointed either...but...in the old indian idol...the singers were...alll pretty good...in this...all are good...tooo........ 😃

come on.last week it pained me to hearII2 singers sing -after a year after all the experience? really disappointed. please dont say that they took it easy.they couldnt keep the pitch,went out of sur so many times.!!!!(you can argue about each song-links available to compare)
mondays performance put a new enthusiasm in almost all of us.they gave us a good account of themselves.
