if i fail an exam, n if I re-take tht exam, then it means tht I have an opportunity to improve, to undo my mistakes i did tht first time....but tht doesnt disqualify tht fact tht I failed the first time.

N yes, if Panna is not prepared to perform live in front of an audience, n if he doesnt have the guts to do so n sing a song properly in the first shot, then obviously it shows tht he isnt as deserving as the other candidates.....

Im not blaming panna,Im blaming sony for using a diff yardtick for diff candidates...IM just hoping against hope tht karunya is saved tom...

But no one sees tht. Why is there a different yardstick for panna n karunya?

I don't believe in this. Karunya gave a rocking performance and I could not believe that he had a sore-throat because his performance was awesome.

Even if Karunya was given a second-chance he could not have beaten his first perforamance. I disagree with Sonu Nigam and Farha Khan on this.

Panna got what he deserved so we should not have any grudges against him.

And the entire Gala perforamnce is new to all the 12 participants, so they have no idea wat the experience would be like. And since Panna was the first contestant, other contestants would have had an idea of how it is on stage from Panna's experience.

So in a way it is alright to Sony to give the guy a second chance and they gave him the apt punishment for his behaviour to make sure no one repeats it in the future. I am sure that if this would have happened to Amey(if he was performing first), Sony would have given him a second chance!

But when Panna's performing on stage, in front of a live audience, he can't 'cut'. Its more an issue of professionalism than anything else. Yeah, this is a pre-recorded show but things have to be fair. That said, Panna did sing well (song wasn't a hard one though) and he lived up to his 'rock star' image with his performance.

Even if Amey got a re-take, trust me, I wouldnt be very pleased about it. And the reason is coz I want Amey to be the best in watever he does.I wouldnt want Amey to rely on the prvilige of re-takes to get a good performance telecast on TV, coz thts an insult to the concept of II and Amey's talent and ability to perform live.

It's not a question of who's coming first or second. Amey would've had a lot of pressure on him as well since he's the judges fav., n since all the contestants prior to him in the gala sang well also...but then pressure never affects amey's performance.

Look we all appreciate wat Panna sang, but then his gain= someone else's lose...n tht is wat is not fair....looking at his performance only, I'd say HE ROCKED....but then looking at the context of things, I must say its a very sad state of affairs.

I agree with you that Panna's Performance rocked but looking at the context, its a sad state of affairs but coming back strongly after critisicm from all corners needs COURAGE!!

look getting a re-take is against the concept of reality TV and II. I have a feeling Sony can get sued by their franchisor for violating the concept. Which is why this is upsetting; its harming panna's image, when it really ist panna's fault.
