Time for people's verdict on Indian Idol

Last night, the curtain was raised on the much-awaited final Gala round of the Indian Idol Series 2 as the twelve finalists battled out to save a berth for themselves. The six male finalists NC Karunya, Panna Gill, Sandeep Acharya, Amey Date, Sagar Sawarkar and Ravi Tripathi entralled viewers and judges with some peppy and popular songs. Meanwhile, the six ladies looked on, almost biting their nails in anticipation for their competition in the next episode.

Last night saw the show heating up not just with the performances of the contestants but the presence of Bollywood's sensuous Mallika Sherawat bringing in the to the show and also spelling some great 'shayaris' for each contestant. This is the magic of the Indian Idol final Gala rounds! Grandiose sets, state of the art interiors never witnessed on Indian television before and celebrities bringing in a whole new viewing experience.

The contestants sparkled in dazzling outfits designed by Neeta Lulla. The show has seen some remarkable transformations in each contestant after the makeover. The first Gala episode saw the three judges very impressed with Panna Gill's and Ravi Tripathi's performance. Cutie Sagar Sawarkar was picked up for his gloomy face expressions during the performance. Even Amey Date and Sandeep Acharya were complimented for their brilliant singing, but the confident NC Karunya had to bear the brunt for choosing the wrong song and having a bad throat. So who will it be this time…?? Pulsating drama and frenzy will capture millions of Indian viewers, as they will witness one of their favourite contestants being voted off the show.
