Definitely I think ppl should go for a contestant who doesnt copy any singer. I think Anuj and Javed had original voice.And mind you Sonu had copied the style of Mohd. Rafi not his voice. As far as voice quality (just my feeling) is concerned Rafi is better than Sonu. And secondly when Sonu had entered the film industry, Rafi was no more. So ppl started missing Rafi and Sonu provided perfect replacement. But now the situation is that Udit Narayan is in full flow. So we do not need anyone to replace. We need something different.

I think Anuj should have been there instead of Panna.

I dont think Panna deserves to be in. Neither does Sandeep. It's not that Sandeep sang badly. It's that Amey, Anuj and Javed all sang better than Panna and Sandeep.

Another remark on the originality thing is that I would definately want a person with a distinct voice to become the Indian Idol. I don't get it...we already have a Sonu Nigam, a Udit Narayan...why would you again want to listen to someone with the same voice? I'd rather want someone with a distinct vocal style. Someone who you hear on the radio and instanstly recognize.

first of all, all my family members including me didnt wanted anuj to be in coz he already had made his career in himachal n did some actually lotz of himachali albums. i personally think that indian idol is to give people a chance 2 make their career itz not 4 the people who have already started n kind of made their career which anuj already had.
i liked his voice too n thought he was probably one of the best singers in that round but sorry 2 say i still dont think he should be 2 be there.
ya i think javed had a unique voice but i m quite happy with the results.
n let the by gones be the bygones coz we cant change it now so whatz the use of thinking about it when we cant change it, the more we discuss about it there r gonna be more arguments.

i still cant get over the fact that he got the most votes, more than anuj and amey! 😡

but compared to panna he may or may not be better, i really donno rii now.
