No Indian Idol for Pakistani Viewers :(

Unfortunately, there is some internal war going on between the local Pakistani channels and International channels (majority from India), over the advertisements revenue.

Hence, succumbing to pressure from local channels the Entertainment and Media authorities in Pakistan decided to ban around 35 channels (majority Indian channels) for an indefinite period.

It's so sad and depressing for millions of viewers in Pakistan, coz Indian channels were very widely viewed down here, unfortunately we will only be getting updates now from the official Indian Idol website or from all you people here at India-Forums, tum log bhi nahin hotay to hum huge Indian Idol fans kya kartay :( Thanx...................

dats very bad news for u guys in pakistan..n dat also in the time when indian idol is going on..u'll also miss kahin to hoga ,kyiuki n other serials ..so plz guys try to upload the vedioes for the pakistani fans...

If SONY is not getting revenues for showing the show in Pakistan, then the show shouldn't be shown in Pakistan. Sony (or any other channel for that matter) is not doing this for charity. They should be compensated for their work.

There are huge revenue loses due to Pakistan being a huge Pirate market. Indian movies are pirated there heavily and the producers of those movies end up losing money. Why should pakistanis or anybody else for that matter get to see movies, or enjoy music without the owners of that property being appropriately compensated?
