Alright: Here is what I propose we discuss

Title: The List & Other Small Things

SEL are not just good musicians and some of the best composers of modern times, what I like about them is they are great mentors promoting the spirit of music and talent. One thing I really appreciated about their guest appearance is the list which they brought and read out. A list of numerous contestants who never won, some who never even made it to the top few - but whom they worked with and gave a chance.

Why is this important? It gives two messages to the aspiring singers. Firstly, there are always musicians out there who will give a chance to someone who shows true talent. Secondly, winning is not everything. Contestants often feel disheartened when they are eliminated and do not go as far as they wished. The show may have just one winner, but life has unlimited opportunities. Winning a show is momentary, a fickle pedestal by the fickle junta that can crumble away any time. Real victory is someone who stands strong in the long run - and in many reality shows the winners have fizzled but the eliminated contestants have actually gone along a long way.

The list is just a small simple list - but it holds value for so many reality show contestants.

Another small thing is Asha tai's recognition of her senior orchestra members. One thing I have always noted is the good composers and singers never fail to acknowledge their band and troupe. They make it a point to introduce the guitarist or the drummer or the trombone player or the conductor - whoever is there supporting them in the background. It is sad and shocking that many big artistes actually do not take the time to do that. However, you will see the marked difference in the shows of artistes who do and who don't. When an artiste acknowledges the lesser known people who support them - they are not an individual they are backed by a whole team who loves them and loves their music and is involved in it. This love is evident in the energy and positivity of the net result. Next time you watch a concert or show, watch out for who acknowledges who and how.

These are the little things that make a difference.

Any other little things or musical moments in II or other music shows that have great significance?

Sarina it was so nice for Shankar to announce how many ex SRGMP-II-VOI contestants they have given a chance to sing for them...
Yesterday in some topic I mentioned and recognized live orchestra and the 3 musicians-legends from RDB time...These musicians are unsung heroes...W/o them music industry can never survive....Hats off and standing ovation to wonderful musicians who made yesterday's gala episode a treat to watch...👏👏
