Because Shreya had a better voice quality and feel. D'uh. That's what I explained in my second main paragraph. They were both good in different parts.

You gave cheenikum a 9 & Teriore a 8, shreya will obviously laugh at you.
Of course Cheeni Kum deserves higher marks! It has a more difficult tune, higher tempo, more high pitches!

I know it from the very beginning that you never wanted shreya to win & you r trying alot hard to make kavita win, but dont make is soo obvious! As a judge you need to overcome your likes & dislikes xo!
THIS is the last time I'm discussing this issue with you Hunk. If you want to discuss my scores - pick on the musical content! Do NOT discuss my likes or dislikes. I always judge based on how good the singing is, and not on how much I love the singer. BTW I love Shreya a lot too.

As I had said You consider yourself superior than the Professional singers & the MDs. right? Can I ask you a question? if u dont mind.

Please ask me a question as long as it is musical and related to this song.

You gave alka's Kuch kuch hota hai a 9 in the last round, now as compared to it teriore is a much more better voice clarity & challenging singing. So isnt this clear bais?

Hmmm that's one unbiased opinion as u claim u have ...I was told that judges comments will be scrutinised ..I was very sure as to why i gave marks to all the singers the way I gave ....but ur sentences r oximoron( not so easy...not so difficult) and then u said all the good things about the song ...

One thing I have realised with this judging ...no matter how beautiful a singer sings ...how well she portrays the feelings ...how well she is with her sur, lay and pitching ....if the song is not "tough" then the singer gets an 8 !!!!!

Please have the regard/respect to fully read a review before tearing it apart. Saying something is not so difficult but not so easy is NOT an oxymoron. Some things are at a medium level of difficulty.

As for rounding down to 8 from 8.5, well SSK has already said that to be tougher on the singers he will always round down when in doubt.

And the difficulty of the song is OF COURSE important. The last time we did this contest, this whole 'difficulty'/'toughness' issue was not a problem. People quickly realised that A MORE DIFFICULT SONG deserves a higher score than a LESS DIFFICULT SONG. And SSK and I both think this was a relatively less difficult song, so it can't get the high 9's and 10's. If you want to argue, then please show us how this is a very difficult song. But do NOT start laying accusations of bias.

And please don't sarcastically boast about 'good logic' when you yourself fail to appreciate that a simple song, however well sung, can never deserve the same score as a difficult song sung equally well. A difficult song is more of a challenge (by definition) therefore the singer who sings a difficult song deserves more credit. If we start giving away tens to what we see as relatively simpler singing (we're not saying its a babyish song 😆) then what will we give to even more difficult singing?

Scrutiny is one thing. But refusing to see another's logic, and instead makign sarcastic comments is another.

Teriore is a very beautifully sung song & it deserve's a 10. And ofcourse I consider the filmfare jury members & the living legend Shankar mahadevan have better knowledge of music then 2 people sitting at home & surfing the net who obviously donot have any great knowledge of music nor any right to define a song "easy or difficult"! Xobile & cpr, just accept it that you are Baised! This time its not only me but all of us saying this!!

Earlier this game was for fun & really nice but now your such attitude has really irritated the audiences!🤢

First of all, I don't consider myself superior to any pro singers. I am just another poster in these threads just like yourself. Even you post scores and comments on these singers. Doesn't mean that even you consider yourself superior.

The awards are not something I give too much priority to. Sorry. But they often give awards based on the popularity of the song. Really popular songs like 'Aashiq Banaya' and 'Masakalli' end up fetching the singers awards. Sure, the singing is very good - but doesn't mean it's guaranteed to get 10/10. The whole point of having this competition is so we listen and judge for ourselves.

I don't disagree with Shankarji at all. Shreya's singing in that video is awesome. BUT she has put in a lot of variations and sung some of Rahat saab's sections too. That makes it more impressive. Plus, singing such a song FLAWLESSLY in a LIVE CONCERT is veryy difficult. She deserves all the praise and applause she gets and I bow down to Shankarji's judgement.

Now coming to 'Main Vari Vari' and 'Bol Na Halke Halke' - I believe those songs are more difficult than 'Teri Ore'. I also believe that Shreya's own 'Cheeni Kum', 'Soona Soona', 'Bhor Bhayi', 'Tu Hi Meri Dost Hai', 'Mere Dholna' are more difficult songs than 'Teri Ore'.

And Hunk - I only post my opinion on the singing. I don't go around namecalling people and bashing judges. I don't accuse people of having bad logic, bad listening, bias, etc etc. Please post you thoughts on the singing. Risingabove has ccreated this competition so that we all share our thoughts about the singing. Please DO NOT post your thought about ME as a person. Nobody asked you to comment about ME or ANYONE ELSE. It destroys the mood of the competition.

This is not the first time xobile! I have observed your posts from the very begining xobile! I remember when most of the people rated Shreya good points for the song "zoobie doobie" your comments were vague & showed that u r insecured you said "zoobie doobie would sound better in sunidhis voice & blah blah", this indicates your clear bais, you always would start with such debates, Is this what a judge is supposed to speak?? as a judge its your responsibility to not to instigate such debates & give proper score.

You are the one spoiling the mood of the competition xo, its not only me but all of us arent happy with your judgements!

Honestly Hunk I have no bias. Believe me. You can look back at everything I've written and nowhere do I want Shreya to lose. We have done this contest before (but with fewer singers) and Shreya one that - I myself gave her 9's and 10's.

In that competition the contestants were Alka, Sunidhi, Shreya, Mahalaxmi, Vasundhara and Alisha. And SSK PM'd me asking who my favourites were. You know what I said? SHREYA. The fact is, Hunk, that I have absolutely nothing against Shreya. You can see I have given her high marks in Soona Soona and Cheeni Kum.

I don't want Kavitaji to win at any cost. I like her a lot too. But I don't mind if she loses. As of now, her song selections (Nimbooda, Main Vari Vari, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan) have been more impressive than Shreya's Dhoom Tana and Teri Ore. Just like YOUR ears prefer 'Dhoom Tana' and 'Teri Ore', my ears prefer 'Nimbooda' and 'Aankhon Ki'. Just like you want to see Shreya win, I feel that Shreya is a deserving winner, but there are other singers in this competition like Kavitaji and Sadhanaji who would ALSO make deserving winners. So why do you think that your opinion is valid and mine not?

Frankly YOU are the one who seems to want Shreya to win at any cost. You bashed me. You bashed CPR. You accused SSK of having a multiple ID when actually Ktopden is another person. You bugged me SO MUCH about that 'Sunidhi is female Sonu Nigam' thing. You called me a liar. But at the end we dug up the interview in Hindustan Times which showed Sonu's quote. You are going to any length to make Shreya win this petty game...

And if the audience has such a big problem they should PM me and I'll be more than happy to leave this competition. Waise bhi yahan music se zyada bashing ho rahi hai.
