There is a reason why Suresh Wadekar, when he sings live in whatever reality show, has no good song to sing. Because he didn't sing that many hits. Why would he? His voice quality is so poor. He is a good teacher though. Has all the right surs and everything. Just goes on to show voice quality is the most important.

Vaise to I decided to stay away from this contest. So I am not posting any ratings of mine. Its more of a battleground now.

But this particular comment is seriously shocking. Suresh Wadekar and overrated!! If you think just because he didn't enough songs to sing in Bollywood that he is not a good singer then all I can say is get some fresh air dude.

For you very kind information Suresh ji was recommended by Lata Mangeshkar and she was the one who introduced Suresh ji to music composers like Kalyan ji Anand ji and Khyaam saab. I hope you know who Lata Mangeshkar is.

I'm talking about how high they took their high notes. Not every high note, even the same lyrics, is the same. There are high notes, and then there are higher notes. Anuradha is just capable of singing at a higher pitch on the higher notes than Suresh. That's all. Suresh though, can't blame him, though his sur and everything is good, his voice quality just isn't.

I think Kuhu has already replied to you. A female voice is thinner and can seem to be higher when in fact it isn't.

And the bold part makes no sense. One note is ONE PITCH - you can't have different pitches in the same note.

I meant the same lyrics. Higher pitch on the same lyrics not notes. She does.

I've said he is perfect on sur and has a great sense of music and everything. He is a great teacher too. And so on. Maybe that's why Lata recommended him. But he lacks voice quality. That's for sure. And that's why I feel he is overrated. I see him on concerts with Kavitaji, who really wants to hear Suresh sing? 😆

Suresh Wadkar lacks voice quality!! You are drunk or what? That's one of the most ridiculous thing I have heard. 😆

Lata ji recommended Suresh ji because she loved her voice. He has one of the most unique voice qualities. There are lots of singers who are perfect with sur and have good sense of music. Not only Lata ji but his Guru Pandit Jialal Vasant was also impressed with his voice quality.

Apart from you there are many people who want to hear Suresh ji. Don't know whether you are following Indian Idol or not but we already had two songs of Suresh ji being performed on stage, Chappa Chappa and Lagi Aaj Saawan. So youngsters still follow his songs.

Here is what Sonu Nigam said on one of the TV shows..."Suresh Wadekar ji ki ek bahut alag si awaaz hain aur woh bahut hi tayiar artist hain"...

a beautiful song ....Anuradha has maintained the feel throughout well...a 9 from me!

Exquisite singing by Anuradha ji! Her pitch, her voice basically was spot on and more so that it fitted the melancholy-ish tone of the song. Another important factor is the perfect synchronization with her male counterpart. I'll give her a 10!
