Injustice...

Before I start this post... Let me clarify, this is not a Yashraj bashing post :P

Okay... Guys as well all have witnessed, this year the contestants of II5 are from other reality shows... To be really honest... I don't have a problem with the "recycled contestants"... They have participated in II5 because they have not been able to win the reality shows they have previously been a part of and also because even though they have been a part of those shows, they have not been able to make a impact in the music industry...

But this is what I have a problem with...

Yashraj is one of the contestants taking part in II5 who has already won a reality show... I mean if he has previously won a title and earned recognition, why does he need to be a part of II5... Don't you think injustice is being done to the other contestants for whom this is their first reality show... This guy has already won, that mean he does have a lot of voters out there from the previous show so definately he is bound to do good in II5 as well... If he has not won, it was reasonable for him to be a part of this show... But since he is already a winner... Why take part again and take away chances from other potentials...

Who cares who won which show? That isnt the basis of judging a singer is it??

He sang so well yesterday and he deserved to go ahead in the show as he is a great singer. Just because he won a reality show doenst mean he cant take part in other shows . Many singers in the show have sung in films too, so does this mean that they too cant take part in II??

No, no injustice because no rule bans winners from competing. Good singing gets you on the show ... period.

Well, Im not saying Yashraj is a bad singer... I just don't find it fair that a winner should take part in a competition even after winning a show... I mean when they have already won, why do they need a second chance to prove themselves... And as for those who have playbacked, well Im not saying its fair that they are a part of the competition, but at the end of the the whole of India is seeing their talent for the first time, unlike Yashraj...

We are not discouraging good singers here but the whole purpose of doing these shows EVERY YEAR is to unearth new talents. I agree that all the talents which participated in earlier shows should be givne one more chance but definitely not the ones which already won one!.

They have to come up with some rules so that participants already won reality show in last 2 years or top 3 participants from previous realisty show cant compete for next one/two years. The reason being they are already unearthed and recognised and probably given a chance in playback singing too.

Yashraj Kapil isnt Sonu Nigam or Shaan , He is just a singer who won a reality show that too which was about teaching upcoming singers music.

Shreya Ghoshal is an established singer and has attained what a good singer would want to in his/her lifetime. Shreya Ghoshal herself had first won SaReGaMaPa and then she was signed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. She was lucky as she participated in a show which then was the ONLY reality show running for singing,Was it that If she wouldnt have been signed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali then we never would have got a one of the best singers of Indian Cinema -Shreya Ghoshal?? Is it?? No! she would have made it by participating in anything else be it a reality show and anything related to music which would make her achieve her aim as she deserved it.

And plus, He has the talent, he has the voice , he has the personality and the Indian Idol people have mentioned it in his profile too that he won a reality show but couldnt garner much recognition from it and So, he thought of taking his talent forward to a bigger and better platform.

I think, We mut go through the videos of "Sitoron ko choona hai", the show were he won and see what the show was about. I am Qouting a line from an article which was about the Winner of the show-
"Sitaron Ko Choona Hai" on Real TV on June 26th, 2009 has got its winner after 3 months of competition and extensive training"

The show was ONLY about training young singers. It would be the same if one would go to Sir.Suresh Wadkar's institute and make a show out of how music is taught there and then one out of all his students could be declared as the best out of them all.

I guess people are mistaking the show in which he took part.

Anyways....I hope and wish that his talent takes him forward and the best out of all teh contestants wins( That's the most imp. thing)

I thought most singers came in for competitng just for establishing themselves.. 😕 and by being a winner they just get an advantage from Sony... 🤔 and the title..

I don't see injustice anywhere.. talent is what should be seen and not their histories.. 👍🏼
