Not much scopre for Mahalaxmi Iyer here. Once again, she was in a song that was mostly sung by Udit Naryan. Though this time she had more lines, there was less for her to show her singing.

She still had great voice quality, but besides for that, not much scope for her in this song, nothing difficult, and mostly an easy to do song.

So,

Udit has overshadowed her in this song, the lines which she sang were nice. I would give her a 7.

A beautiful piece of music sung wonderfully by Udit ji & Mahalaxmi ji. I thought the picturization was beautiful too. But I'm not judging all of that. I think Mahalaxmi ji had a lot of nice variations in the song. She tried to do her part by giving the song a nice feeling to it. She used a lot of good voice modulation. She tried experimenting in places that she felt necessary. It was very easy to connect with her voice. She sung with a lot of feeling. Udit ji did a fabulous job accompanying her. I did feel though that Udit ji did overshadow her a bit. As much as I loved her singing and the variations that she did, I think it is not enough to give her a 9 or even an 8. There are places that could have used improvement in voice modulation and pitch. But overall it was a fabulous attempt by her.

This song is good, one of "my kind" of clean, simple tracks.
But I gave it a 7/10, based on her voice quality.
She gets to sing just a fraction, uditji is typical at his usual ease, and mahalaxmi too tries her best and does succeed to put her soul into singing but she comes out just above average.
Tempo is almost flat, so is the scale.

One of my favourite songs!..this will be difficult to evaluate..lets see..

Starting is beautiful, I just love the way Udit ji sings "Yeh Badal ki Chaadar, Ye Taaron Ke Aanchal..". Anyways, coming back to Mahalaxmi's singing here, the ductility in the singing is there, it is pleasant the way she starts from a low note then rises to a higher note. There is calmness and elegant beauty in her voice, which is clearly portrayed here.

However, I felt the throw could have been more powerful like Udit ji's. I won't say that this was an easy song, because it is quite difficult to sing in the lower notes. I believe that Mahalaxmi has been able to retain her magic here. I will deduct marks on the basis of low energy and lesser throw of the voice. Also, I felt Mahalaxmi is not given much scope for singing here as compared to the male-counter part, that is one the reason that she is not able to create a 'wow' impact.

None-the-less, it remains one of my favourite romantic songs. I would like to give it an 8 out of 10.
