That's harsh. I mean at least he sang the given song! Swaroop Khan started singing Kesariya Balam! Is that allowed? Coz then Geetesh too could have started doing some Carnatic improvisations on the given beat! (I think he's a Carnatic not Hindustani singer, but that doesn't matter much)

My point is: the judges have a lot of musical gyaan but no LOGIC!

I just think it was right to bring him in, bc it will bring freshness to the show..it would take time for him to learn...he is very talented...

we had many fimli singers like Geetesh in this show, but not many like Swaroop...

they want to discover new fresh talent....

Hmm... Swaroop is a great singer no doubt. But he has his space and his genre. This is a competition for filmi sangeet, where there are Hindi lyrics which matter a lot. In fact, the total singing style will be different to Rajasthani folk! He will be asked to sing songs completely out of his comfort zone.

They are effectively getting him from a space he works well in (Rajasthani folk) and changing his style so that he can sing filmi. Is there any point in that?

Also, Geetesh is fresh talent, too, na?

Aagey pata nahin aur kiski bali chadhegee. I had so hoped that with the inclusion of two "musical" judges we would have better singers than the past two series, but... no Saira, no Geetesh I am happy for Swaroop, though!!

I agree I was really sad to see geetesh go..he had won me over in his audition..BUT I also agree with the judges on making the right decision while eliminating him cause in today's epi when he sang, his voice wasn't really unique and seemed powerless
