Although there are several topics relating to what my topic is going to be about, I just have so much to say that wanted to create this topic. Others have drifted off to so many other issues and lost focus, that I can't relate to them.

First things first, I don't care how "un-Indian" you think Kapil and Sourabhee are, they were "Indian" enough to get into the show, and that should be good enough for you. Having said that, I don't deny the presence of regionalism, but such generalized and biased statements are not tolerable.

I'm so upset today, I cannot believe that Rajdeep was kicked off. He was that one hope of the show that was left. That one light at the end of the tunnel --- who knew that that light was just another train coming, right? That guy is so awesome, his performances were never weak, never lacking, from day one, he's justified his presence in the show through sheer talent and sincerity. He's been my favorite ever since he walked into the audition room with that smile of his and ever-so humble attitude. His rendition of Sonu's Rabba Mera Rabba is heart wrenching, I really hope he makes it big one day. Such talent should not be ignored. Despite all the fan following around him, I wonder why he was kicked off. What more is the audience looking for? Is good singing, good personality and humility not enough anymore?

I continued watching the show thinking that its okay that all these more talented singers are getting out and less deserving ones are staying, as long as Rajdeep's in the game, I was so sure that he'll bag the title this time.

Anyways, let us give a round of applause to Rajdeep's talent and his humble exit from the show.

Moving on to the singers that are the Top Three (despite all our grievances)...

Kapil: That guy cannot sing. I salute him for being a soldier, I respect his patriotism, and I appreciate his humble personality, but his singing just isn't up to the mark. He loses focus, his voice quality is extremely lacking, and his grip and knowledge of music is no where up to the mark. He should've exited today, not because he's not "indian" enough, but because it really should be talent that's being looked at.

Sourabhee: That girl has been quite consistent and carries herself well. Her spunk is an additional bonus to her overall image. But her singing isn't something I connect with. Her voice quality is very lacking and nothing original or unique. I'm not saying that she doesn't deserve the Top 3 spot, but I do feel that if some of these other singers that were eliminated early on were given a chance, they could do as well as Sourabhee, if not better. Having said that, kudos to her for making it thus far, and may she battle it out in the end with all her strength.

Torsha: I have so much to say about her. Torsha is the epitome of a female Indian Idol -- she has the personality, the mannerisms, and the looks to become the female Idol. What she's lacking is the singing. I love Torsha's voice quality -- its extremely unique, and a huge asset to her overall package. However, she has not learned to use that to her advantage. Her voice requires certain kinds of songs, and she's failed to pick those songs that will suit her voice. Her lack of confidence is a huge turn off. And so is her over-confidence at times. She's played both games so far --- the "bechari" act with her "i'm-trying" attitude, and also her "i-don't-care-what-you-say" glances. Neither's played out well on her end. The problem I have with her is that she hasn't shown us who the real her is. She seems to be trying too hard at times, but always on the wrong things. And although we want her to take the title, because she has the potential to be that female Idol, we can't deny that she hasn't delivered.

Regionalism is a huge problem in public voting reality shows. Its quite unfortunate actually, but apparently there's absolutely nothing that we can do about it. So, I won't get into that, it just makes me sad that we have to sacrifice talent simply because someone's from the same state as us.

By some miracle, I hope that Torsha gets her act together in the last few weeks and truly delivers. If so, I'd say she's fair game for the title. If not, give it to Sourabhee, so far, she's the best pick and most deserving of the three. Having said that, my guess is that Kapil will snatch the title from the gals and Sonali will be left chanting her "female idol" speeches.

Sorry for the extremely long topic, had to get this out of my system. Geez, I still can't believe Rajdeep is out. It breaks my heart to see him go.

Woh Ajnabi....well I logged in to type something so similar and found this post...😊 well to start with thsi smile was for you....but seriously I am so upset....we spend 4 months on a show to get this out of it.....Rajdeep was the reason I kept watching it thinking that fine if all the other better singers are beingvoted out atleast the public is keeping this player safe so that he eventually bags the title...but now all we can hope is that he gets fame in his life...but i am sure we all know its not tha simple...I still listen to his "Rabba mere rabba" and cannot belioeve he was voted out yesterday....heartbreaking!
and than your opinions on Torsha are et again so similar to me..I want her to be II....somehow I feel that she is the only one now who if wins I will be happy....not to say thay I have any offence to make for the other two...but everyone has a choice and opinion...mine is very similar to that of you on that....
But I just have a feeling that the love birds (Kapil and sourabhee) will make it to the final....and than as they say "its all going to be in the family"😕

Thanks for such a nice post! I felt great after reading it!

and finally if Rajdeep every chks this out....for me you are the II4....i will always associate the best performances if II4 with you and you have a great talent! I hope it gets utilized in the best way that it deserves!! hope to seeing more of ou on bigger and better platforms!

Well this is a rare good post ,,, both observation and intelligence wise and with no bias!!!! I have two things to say here!!!
First is Torsha. I dont know if she has deliberately played both games and not shown us the real her but i surely agree with the fact that she has exhibited conflicting aspects in her personality. Same goes for her singing where she has such an awesomely unique voice yet she has been good only in the piano rounds and half the galas. Thus both her singing and personality leave you confused. You want her to win but then you think otherwise. Now I have supported her from the beginning and will do so in the finale as well because I feel that in order to make it BIG in bollywood you need to have something EXTRA. Sourabhee is an excellent singer but there are other singers like her in the industry already plus her voice is good but not unique. Torsha has a chance of making it BIG in bollywood because of her voice. As for her sur, I believe that even if she becomes Indian Idol she wont be getting her BIG BREAK for the next 2 0r 3 years (look at karunya) uptill which she would have matured as a singer overall. Thats why I feel she is a much appropriate Idol
Secondly, we cant deny the influence of regions and departments. Prashant and Sandeep are proof of that. Sony are a business entity first and then an entertainment channel. No way are they going to sacrifice their bread and butter for our wishes. The only way Sourabhee or Torsha can stop Kapil is if their supporters vote as if they have nothing else to do. It sounds bad but there is no other way in reality

I nominate the starting post and your post as the best post regarding this mess.
Maybe many people do not like Kapil not because he is not an Indian or an Indian. But just because he is a weak singer. Weak for this level anyway.
Torsha is like Russia. Churchill said Russia is a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma. She definitely led a very protected life so far and her vulnerability and her selfishness shows it. Like other participants are better able to mask their desire and cheer or cry at the right spots. Torsha's emotions & behavior are just like elephant in a china shop. It is very grating at times and for a beautiful girl she comes off extremely camera unfriendly. Sometimes her voice breaks, sometimes her tear. But better people than me had said she has a unique voice, so who am I to judge.
Probably out of these 3, Sourabhee is the most deserving winner. So finally we will have a female Indian Idol after castrating all the males.
Rajdeep - I am yet to see a better person and contestant in IndianTV. You always had the right words and smiles for every occassion. Where a lesser person than you could break into righteous anger, you said the right things and touched every heart. You are way mature than your seventeen years.
Finally a country is said to get politicians/leaders that they deserve. We will get an Idol that we deserve. Whats wrong with that (except this is the day that music died)?

I know....I was equally upset as well;(I was disappointed that exceptional singers like

Prasanjit and Bhavya were eliminated, while ok singers like Torsha and Kapil were still in......It makes

me really mad that India is so irresponsible....I'm so serious.....how can they (I live in US-can we vote?)

betray them like that....after these two left,I wasn't exactly one-hundred percent confident,but I was

confident enough to know that Rajdeep would become the next 'Indian Idol'.....but India's junta broke

my dreams!!!!!😡

Hey, thanks for taking time out to read the long topic. 😊
I don't agree with your "wild and crazy" remark, in fact I think potential Idols should have some class, and know how to carry themselves well. And Kapil does that extremely well. However, notice how everything you say about him has to do more with Kapil the person rather than Kapil the singer. The problem is that despite having the looks and personality to be Idol, Kapil lacks somewhere in the singing. His performances don't stand out in the crowd, there's not a single performance where I can say, no, Kapil was the best in that Gala round. You know what I mean? His Ajab Si was horrendous, and reminded me of Mohit's Khuda Jaane. I have nothing against the guy, its just that other singers who've been eliminated in the past have been so much better than him. But that's just my opinion, what do I know? 😆

Ajnabee I agree with ur almost all the point. However i believe Sourabee had performed better than Torsha throughout the competition. However if u ask me who is better betweenf those two. I ll say Torsha has got better voice texture and Sourabee got better stage presence and better performance. hence on the basis of performance throughout the show I ll pick Sourabee over Torsha as as Indian Idol. I dont think Kapil is anywhere near to two those contestants.

Hey, thanks for the smile, Ria. Here's a bigger one for you --- 😃😆.
Thanks so much for liking the topic, and even a bigger thanks for reading the long topic.

I still can't believe Rajdeep is out, look at me here. 😆 Torsha has the potential to be Idol, but its too late for just "potential", because Remo had the same potential. Let's not group Kapil and Sourabhee together, that's undermining at least one of their talents, and that's not fair. Although I found your "its all going to be in the family" comment quite cute and funny. Of the three now, Sourabhee has been the most consistent and therefore should take the title, if by some miracle Torsha awes us in the next week or two, then fine, otherwise this is Sourabhee's game.
