Performance Discussion - 22 & 23 October, 2022

There was too much drama today but I liked all the performances. I think this one was the best episode so far in terms of singing.

Performances I enjoyed the most - Shivam, Rishi, Kavya, Sonakshi, Pritam.

The sequence with Shivam, Rishi, and Kavya singing was an example of why I love Indian Idol so much. I am hoping for more performance like this in the future.

Sonakshi-Outstanding performance today. Was clearly in her element. Ghoomar is not an easy song to sing and she nailed it. Surprised she didn't get a MBD. Regardless excellent singing today. One of her better performances.

Bidipta-Wa Wa Wa. Easily her best performance of the season. The synchronization with the chorus plus the simplicity of her singing make this the perfect song choice for her. A very well deserved MBD.

Chirag-Chirag comes across to me as a wannabe romantic singer. His singing at first was really appealing but hasn't been the same since they started this whole love story drama stuff. I anticipate they may have to close that story because Chirag may get eliminated soon. His singing wasn't up to the mark today.

Shivam-One of the best performances of the season in my opinion. This is a very difficult song to sing especially live and he absolutely nailed it. The high notes were especially brilliant. I could tell when he started he was a little nervious but as the song opened up, the singing became heavenly. Shivam continues to impress me as a singer and may become a finalist.

Rishi-Very good singing by Rishi. I thought after Shivam's monster performance, that would be hard to top but Rishi practically matched it. His low notes and high notes are both equally good. These songs are making me want to see Brahmastra more haha. Rishi's voice is very similar to Arijit's voice definitely. Another top class performance by Rishi.

Kavya-I thought it couldn't get better than Shivam and Rishi today but Kavya comes and absolutely slays one of Sunidhi Chauhan's greatest songs. This is also a very difficult song and there is no room for breathing. Surprisingly Kavya is starting to emerge as an underdog these last few weeks. Very impressed today.

Sanchari-A very nice tribute to Usha Uthup's songs. Sanchari's voice matches her style really well and her singing as a result was really good today. Sanchari at first annoyed me with her operatic singing but slowly her singing has started to become more tolerable surprisingly. A very nice and heartwarming performance today.

Pritam-Pritam did a good job today. The problem was he had a tall order to fill because the previous 4 singers absolutely slayed their songs. Still he wasn't as bad as Chirag today. He was ok overall.

Diwali weekend... other priorities 🤷‍♂️. Couldn't watch this or Lil Champs either.

Bidipta, Sonakshi, Pritam - good try from them.

Rishi, Chirag average.

Top performer for me was Shivam - a tough song rendered brilliantly.👍

Rishi was decent, but not upto his mark.

Sonakshi - another decent job, since Ghoomer is a tough song to go live. But considering her potential I expected better.

Pritam - an easy song , but a good attempt.

Bidipta & Kavya :- Good.

Chirag :- an easy song again, which relies more on feel, but he was just okayish.

Sanchari :- Didn’t enjoy. She even went offtune in Ramba ho.

Asides….

* Shivam ruled.

* Drama sucked, esp the chirag kavya angle involving parents with bahu discussion , pair choona etc… TCT should stop trying out Arudeep clones. 😡

* The laddoo looked least tempting,

* Overacting ki dukaan.. Tu ya Mein?.. Harsh Vs Adi

* Halwa vs Pakoda is to Bidipta Vs Arunita

* Gonna play one round of Ludo before hitting bed… Harsh’s jacket ka asar. 🙄🤣

* And finally…. Harsh ne bharati ki kami mehsoos nahi hone diya. Now , did I complement Harsh?? 🤔🤔.. Go figure… 🤣

Yes forum not opened yet. I have PMed the mods many times but no response.

You guys also request here in this thread. Perhaps with more people requesting, it will be opened sooner.

Either something is wrong with me or with you! Your review actually makes me want to watch the episode to check out the drama 😄

Thankfully, I am made from stronger stuff and I am able to resist!
