I don't remember whether any one of the top voted contestants were eliminated in previous seasons like Sawai in this season. Most probably no. They think they are now Super Hero as the show has been securing decent TRP consistently. They should remember, the show is achieving the TRP only for the outstanding contestants they have in this season. Without such contestants, the show would fail measurably.

However, top voted contestants were pushed to bottom positions as per judges' score in earlier seasons as well.

Push top voted to bottom I can understand it's mostly to give a feel they are not showing bias to audience. But this time its really strange. The fact that we can guess who will be in bottom 2 even before episode air so accurately shows how illogical the competition became. Not sure why they are spoiling image of the show like this.

They are putting Indian Idol Brand at stake.

The makers should take a break and get out of complacency to find out what went wrong. They need to perform their soul searching activity badly!

Agreed . In my opinion since PD is already a winner of The Voice and even though he is highest voted contestant , many a times Arunitha too was highest voted as well , hence Arunitha has more chances . I love both of them but I feel they are using pawan for TRP sake .Furthermore , there was only one female indian idol winner so far and Arunitha is most deserving among all the contestants and might win. May they be blessed with success and a bright future ahead .

Yes, Indian Idol platform has given her popularity, she has registered her presence in music industry but I don't think the Idol people are the right persons for any contestant to build singing career in long term. She has to go through the real struggle to become a playback singer capitalizing worthy opportunities in future. I believe, she will be a successful playback singer in due course of time and definitely enrich Indian Music Industry in near future.

Winning II is not necessary for this, rather the same could be an obstacle for a successful singing career in true sense. 😊

When the winner gets tied up to Sony do they give them playback opportunities as well or it's all shows and concerts? What do they do generally in the 2 years?

I hate 2nd position so that's my personal wish to not see PD on 2nd position but at the same time whatever you said is true n I absolutely agree moreover the trophy itself has a stigma that whosoever takes it home doesn't do well in his/her Career so I don't want that to happen either😆 though he's the most deserving but this stigma is haunting even Salman didn't do well in playback industry in spite of being soo popular🤪

I guess this is the first ever show I came across where fans don't want their favorites to win. I also had same thought process and never wanted SMP to win from day 1. Anyway now she definitely won't so I stopped thinking. Surprised to see that with other contestants fans also have same feeling.

Seriously makers should take a break and revive the show next season to gain trust.
