Power -play…. My thoughts

Hi guys, was just thinking about this power-play. Initially even I wanted regular eliminations. But now I think this concept of power-play without eliminations is better for the following reasons:-

1) The contestants are able to just focus & enjoy their music without the tension/ fear of eliminations

2) It has helped them to bond well & forge deep friendships, since the insecurities & cut-throat competition is not there.

3) Eventually when it comes to top 5, they will be able to accept the evictions with equanimity since they will be out as a group of 4. The hurt will be less.

4)Though it is now more like a concert than competition, I am able to enjoy these episodes more without the tension of my fav contestants being voted out. In fact, I look forward to these weekend concerts, since they are a talented bunch performing with an awesome band!

5) cumulating the votes over a longer period of time seems fair to the contestants, since they get time to level out their performances. Everybody has bad days, sometime or the other.

If only the makers ensure the following, it would become more enjoyable

* Fair distribution of screen time & number of songs - duets as well as solos

* no repetition of guests

* no repetition of songs

* no unnecessary drama

* inclusion of theme-based episodes

Would like to know your thoughts ……

( how I wish it was top 10 in power-play with nachiket in the list. Imagine how many wonderful numbers we could’ve got to hear!)

Power play has given the contestants a lot of exposure (previous seasons contestants didn't had that opportunity to polish themselves n thus most of the time elimination was an easy affair) but now those who were lacking have been polished n everyone is doing extremely well making it difficult to choose one from the lot.

Each contestant has a unique quality which others don't have(not going in detail Varna the post will be very long😆)

Competly agreeing on the fact that now drama is going far its limits n idk y songs aren't distributed fairly🤔 (wouldn't say equally coz sometimes the song/theme of the week doesn't match the singer's genre , specifically for sawai n Anjali

Danish to is overrated idk y)

I haven't seen much of nachiket but he was surely more deserving than Danish sawai
