"With all due respect to Amitji, it is never easy to honour the legacy of a legend in an hour or two. But we always try our level best to put on a great show especially given the circumstances. Due to the pandemic, we were shooting in Daman with a limited team and crew, limited rehearsals, different set, etc. Still week after week we are putting out fresh episodes where most other channels are playing re-runs of their content."

"if Amit was unhappy with certain aspects of the show, he could have just told them during the shoot so that they could have accommodated his inputs."

I'm glad Aditya responded. I found Amit's comments to be distasteful when he basically got paid to sit and listen to contestants of a high TRP show honor his father and his legacy. He's upset the performances weren't up to par? Well boohoo welcome to reality where hardly ANYONE will ever be able to do justice to his fathers songs. Yeah the judges butchered the songs, but so did Amit and I found him equally painful to listen to. And you can't blame the contestants; they're all young kids trying to make a name for themselves. They never asked to be compared to legends. They've been overworked, and some just recently recovered from COVID.

And yeah, if he had such an issue why not bring it up during the shooting and rehearsals? Why wait until the episode has aired and then publicly badmouth after-the-fact? The producers care about ratings, they would have revamped certain aspects if Amit had meaningful input.

Honestly, the whole situation seemed like he was trying to save face for himself after he saw the SM pile-on the judges. Maybe it worked and he saved himself from some criticism, but I'm sure future shows will think twice before calling him after noting his current antics.

Well said. I don't think he saved himself as well. He agreed he can do anything for money. Even if we believe his words are scripted how can his reactions while contestants singing can be scripted. I don't think even best actors can put to that kind of reactions instantly.

Every reality show is a business people know that. I don't think people will really care such things. Social media some people will always be ready to spread negativity. I don't think general tv viewing audience will get affected by such stuff. Especially in these covid times I would be surprised if people really care about such things.
