Again targetting SMP. What non sense. Millions of people dont listen to besuri's. She has been in many competitions mostly either winning or reached finals. Do you think all the judges in those shows have no ears or dont know music. The people who talk about she can sing only on auto tune. Go and search in you tube she already sang a playback with Sonu nigam and that too with out real instrumental music. Just because you dont like does not mean you can just call her anything. Shanmukhapriya at least being herself not trying to copy anyone. Either way she chose western style which no others in competition singing. So she is not real competitor for any one. So dont compare Nachiket and Sirisha with her if you want compare with people who are singing soft melodies and classical like Arunitha and Pawandeep and see if they are better of them for judges to keep him in the top. Yodeling, falsetto and head voice notes are part of western rock and Jazz music. If that's easy we would had 100 female rockstars in India. But not even one in a huge country like us. She is trying to be one if you can encourage her else dont make false statements. By the way I am not fan of her(nor any others though) but I like rock and western music and follow it. She is quite phenomenal for her age with voice control and modulation. Quite unique than others. Even in the melody she sang with Nihal I agree with Vishal. She may not be the best but she nailed it quite well even though her voice doesn't really support slow songs. I dont understand the versatility word. Because in my opinion it's jack of all master of none, which is not going to help them grow. No music director will ask same person to sing melody and peppy numbers with equal grace. In current generation SMP will shine because she is a crowd puller and have excellent stage presence. No body can sing rock music without moving body. By the way people who expect singers to not shout,scream or jump please see any rock concert. Not only singer even audience will be dancing. So please stop nonsense comments about SMP.

Well said. Each talent to his/her own. Let the audience decide.
The issue with SMP, with lay public, is the amount of support she gets from the judges. It seems biased and without critical examination. The public, by and large, don't know the nuances of her genre - they trust the judges to point out - and it can't be always beyond great.
In my opinion the judges are partly to blame for the state of affairs.
In my opinion she is really talented in her art - whether that art finds popularity with most of the (mainly) geriatric listening audience is another thing. They'd rather hear taans, and melody - stuff they can relate to I feel. :)
