Ideas for Episode Themes

What ideas do you guys have for themes of future episodes?

- I want one devotional episode, where the contestants sing Bhajans (traditional or from films).

- I'd also like to see an episode of folk music, where contestants sing traditional folk songs in their own languages. This should happen after there are 7-8 contestants so songs don't get repeated (like four people singing in Marathi -- Nachiket, Anjali, Ashish, Sayli).

I'll add more when I think of them.

Nice thread and I like your ideas too.

They can have the party night theme where everyone perfoms party and dance numbers.

One episode for Indian classical, one episode for ghazals,one for pop etc

I want a Sridevi tribute and also a Rishi Kapoor one as well.

Ok so here are my ideas and I hope the channel sees this:

Bhajan inspired episode

Special guest Anup Jalota

Regional folk special

Each contestant sings in their own language. No repetitions of songs.

Shankar-Jaikishan special.

Video bytes by Anandji Shah, Pyarelal Sharma, Lata Mangeshkar and Shahid Rafi.

Kalyanji-Anandji special.

Guest Anandji Shah. Video byte by Viju Shah on his father Kalyanji Shah.

Mohd Rafi special weekend.

Video bytes from all his contemporaries and the 90s brigade like Viju Shah and Anand-Milind (whose father has worked with him so I am sure there will be some wonderful anecdotes). Special guest the Rafi Family.

SD Burman special. Video byte Asha Bhosle.

Chitragupta and Anand-Milind weekend.

A father and sons special, with full orchestra. Bytes by Udit, Alka, Poornima, Abhijit, Kumar Sanu, Sonu Nigam, Lata M, Asha B, Amit Kumar.

OP Nayyar, Madan Mohan and C Ramchandra Tribute. Bytes by all composers and singers from 50-90s.

SP Balasubranamium Tribute.

We need to commemorate our music legends❤️Bytes by Illayaraja, AR Rahman, Anand-Milind, Raam-Laxman. Special guest KS Chitra.

Jatin-Lalit special.

Same as last year but if they aren't willing to come together (uk about their fight) then bring Jatin Pandit with Shravan Rathod of Nadeem-Shravan while Lalit can come independently since he's worked alone as well.

Geeta dutt/ guru dutt special

Salil choudury special

Ghazal special

Sufi/ quawwali special.

Classical special

The last three are much needed to guage SMP; though the very thought of what she might do to the songs of those genres gives me the creeps already!

There can be a Teen Ka Tadka episode - there are lots of songs with 3 singers - Mahi ve, jiye to jiye kaise etc....

Actuallly by calling the guests of the same era - dharmendra, Hema, jeetendra or poonam, padmimi, govinda etc - the song selections are not upto the mark. God knows, what they see in shakti kapoor vis-a-vis Hindi music!
(Even in the Hema episode, songs could’ve been better - was waiting for Humein tumse pyaar kitna or mere Naina saawan bhadon)
And yes, we also had Badshah & Yoyo which I happily skipped.
we should also have Gulzar special with Meghana as guest.
They had a Javed special with Sonu in season 10, I think. Since they are repeating the guests, why not? But sonu after being outspoken about these shows, will not be favoured by the makers or the channel.
Actually for Valentine’s Day special, they should’ve called shankar mahadevan & wife or Shaan & wife. Instead we had to witness the cringy dramas of nehupreet & bharti harsh 😳

Now, let’s hope they don’t come up with a Tony Kakkar special! 😡

Ghazal, sufi/qawali, and classical special are great ideas!

Also love the idea of having a Geeta Dutt, Guru Dutt special. I'd love to hear more songs from the black and white era!!
