It was Aditya who paid for the hospital bills. Chandni realizes that she had misunderstood Aditya all this while. Aditya on the other hand, has given up on Chandni and thinks her too rigid for any sort of condolence. He is further agitated when he learns about Bauji's visit. Chandni goes to meet Adi at his house but he refuses to meet her.

Amy reveals that Chandni was re-hired on Adi's insistence. Chandni goes to thank Aditya but is taken back by his sudden outburst about her father insulting Dadaji. On the contrary Dadaji feels that what Bauji did was very natural for any protective father.

Chandni confronts Bauji about his visit to the Khanna household and insists that Aditya is only trying to be helpful. She finally steals a chance to thank Aditya and Aditya grabs the opportunity to confess his growing fondness. Chandni suddenly gets into a reverie - her father's words in her head. Adi touches her hand to shake her out of her reverie and she slaps him back!
