Start of episode
Beeji questions Chandini as to what she is saying and whether she will quit so easily. Chandini tells her that before she loses her identity, they have to leave Bombay as soon as possible. Probably Matharani had destined that they spend only so many days in Bombay. But Beeji tells her it is not Matharani's fault. Chandini sticks to her point and says she will quit her job at IC today itself. Beeji says to her that if you want to quit your job, it is your decision and I won't stop you. But we came here all the way from home with the sole purpose of finding Manisha and till that is accomplished, we won't leave Bombay.
Adi is having breakfast with Dadaji saying that he speaks just like Chandini. Dadaji says it is because he and Chandini are made from the same soil. Adi doesn't understand all this talk of mitti and tells Dadaji to stop. The whole office saw the proof of Prashanth's crime and still Chandini kept harping that she trusted Prashanth because her dil said so. He says that Vishesh let Prashanth go very easily and that if he had been in his place, he would have sent Prashanth to the police station. Dadaji says that without thinking fully and clearly, Vishesh never takes a step.
Prem is leaving for work when Vidya comes upto him with a tiffin box filled with gobi ke paranthe which she had made according to Beeji's direction. Prem smiles at her and is about to say something when his mother comes out and shouts at Vidya to go inside and clean the dirty dishes. Sad, Vidya goes inside and her saas tells Prem lovingly to go to work. Chandini and Beeji are observing all this and Chandini says to Beeji again that Mumbai makes people heartless. If Prem wanted, he could have spoken some nice words to Vidya, but he chose to remain silent and listen to his mother's taunts. She says that Adi's dimag has won and her dil has lost. Saying this she leaves and Beeji stares after her worried.
Prashanth comes upto Jenny and gives his resignation letter. He asks for his cheque, but Jenny says it has to be signed by the boss first. Prashanth says ok and turns when he spots Chandini. He starts to speak, but Chandini cuts him off saying that there is no words left between them. Prashanth starts to tell her something, but stops short on seeing Vishesh. He leaves and Vishesh asks Jenny why Prashanth is still here. Jenny hands him Prashanth's as well as Smitha's resignation letter. Vishesh is surprised at Smitha's letter, but takes it and leaves. Chandini is left standing.
Varun is working on the computer when Ami comes up and remarks sadly that their team is sure to lose the incentives since both Prashanth and Smitha have left. Varun is remorseful and says that it is all his fault. Chandini comes upto him and says it is not his fault, but it is the Corporate world which is heartless and gives no room for people's emotions. Ami surprised asks her what she is saying, but Chandini leaves.
Vishesh is working in his office when Chandini enters. He asks her to sit down and explain what the matter. Chandini tells him that what is happening in the office is not right. Ever since the two teams were announced, everybody has become matlabi and think only of their own good. With tears in her eyes she says that she is unable to fit into the Corporate world. Adi was right when he told that one should listen to one's head and not the heart. This is a heartless world which shows no mercy for people like Smitha. She is unable to adjust and therefore wants to leave IC. Vishesh looks shocked. Chandini places her resignation letter on the desk and leaves crying.
Chandini is crying in the canteen when Prashanth walks in. He again tries to talk to her, but Chandini says she is done talking with him and because of him she is leaving IC. She says that this place is filled with dishonest and deceitful people........ and Prashanth completes the sentence, like me. He tells Chandini that everywhere, the world is filled with deceitful people like him and that is why it is in dire need of honest people like Chandini. But Chandini says that she is no longer the person she is and she has changed just like Prashanth. She leaves.
Vishesh is standing in a darkened hallway. He knocks on a door which opens to reveal Smitha's tearful face. She is surprised to see him and exclaims, Vishesh!
One girl tells Kavitha that Smitha's cheque was blocked whereas Prashanth's cheque was cleared. Chandini who is passing by stops on hearing it. Kavitha sympathises with Smitha saying that she had enough problems, first with the house and now the cheque. Varun tells this is a big surprise. Chandini cuts into the conversation, saying it is not at all a surprise. She says sarcastically that after all Smitha was such a dedicated and trustful employee and therefore the organization is perfectly correct to not pass her cheque and pass Prashanth's cheque even when he is deceitful. She says that Vishesh sir has no concern at all for the welfare of the employees and leaves. The others stare at her in shock.
Chandini is working on the computer when Adi comes upto her angrily and demands to know why she said things against Vishesh. Varun tries to stop him, but Adi brushes him off and tells Chandini that he can't bear to hear things said against his elder brother. Chandini says that when she first met Vishesh, she was surprised that he and Adi were brothers because no two people could be more different. But now she knows that Vishesh is just like the rest of the corporate world - heartless, cruel. Adi is angry and says that I am what I am, but Vishesh is the perfect elder brother and nowhere can there be a better boss and a human being. Chandini retorts saying whether elder or younger, both brothers are the same and she doesn't want to work in an organization where the boss doesn't know about the welfare of the people. She turns around and stops short on seeing Vishesh. Vishesh tells her that since she doesn't have faith in the ability of the leadership, he can't do anything to stop her. He says that he accepts Chandini's resignation and moves away to reveal a smiling Smitha. Everybody stands up from their seat in happiness and Chandini is totally surprised. Vishesh then announces that from today, Smitha is rejoining the office and her pay cheque was blocked because they didn't want to lose such a trustful and sincere employee. Saying this he leaves. Adi tells Chandini to see what a good person Vishesh really is and leaves. Chandini stares after Vishesh's retreating form.
End of episode:
Preview of next episode. Chandini says to Vishesh that he made 1 mistake and that is to create a deewar. Kabir coughs violently into his handkerchief and Adi runs up to him worried. Chandini tells Prashanth that I wasn't ready to listen to you before, but now I am.
God, at least some of the suspence is getting resolved! Thank god. I was really happy when Smitha came back. Now I just hope that the Adi - Chandini romance comes back on track too!
